Country music’s finest talent took over Las Vegas’s MGM Grand Arena for the 51st Annual Academy of Country Music Awards (also known as the 2016 ACM Awards) on April 3, and the genre’s most popular ladies certainly brought the glamour.
From Carrie Underwood to Dolly Parton to Miranda Lambert, see what country (and pop) music’s biggest stars wore on the 2016 ACM Awards red carpet.
Never one to shy away from a little (or a lot of) sparkle, Carrie Underwood stunned at the ACM Awards in a floor length gold gown that made her shimmer all the way down the carpet before performing her latest single, “Church Bells,” on the country music awards show. Carrie’s look was even completely sheer on the bottom, making it the perfect showcase for her world famous legs.
Making her red carpet debut with boyfriend Anderson East at the 2016 ACM Awards, Miranda proved just how loved-up she is with her new man by sporting sunny yellow. Miranda took the plunge with her chest-baring gown, which she teamed with a turquoise necklace and hot pink strappy sandals, as well as a super sexy thigh-high slit.
Katy Perry gave it her country best while walking her first ACM Awards red carpet, throwing together a matching blue metallic jacket and skirt, which she paired with pink cow print cowboy boots and fishnet stockings before her performance with Dolly Parton.
It’s hard to believe that Jana Kramer gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Jolie, just over two months ago. Keeping her accessories limited to let her dress do all the talking, Jana stunned in red when she walked the ACM Awards red carpet, proving that she’s seriously one to watch in the music world.
Country Queen Dolly Parton hit the ACM Awards red carpet in a champagne trumpet gown ahead of her performance with Katy Perry. At 70-years-old, Dolly proved that age is nothing but a number when she strutted the ACM red carpet looking every inch the country superstar she is.
Karen Fairchild (Little Big Town)
Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild opted for a white lace dress when she hit the ACM Awards red carpet with her bandmates, but it was the “Girl Crush” singer’s thigh high, red pleather boots with perspex heels that really got everyone talking.
Up and comer Kelsea Ballerini took to the ACM Awards red carpet looking just like a Disney princess with her indigo ballroom gown. Kelsea looked stunning with her awards show ensemble, which featured an intricate lace detail and matching waist belt coupled with uber-fashion forward slicked back hair.
Veteran country superstar Martina McBride strutted her stuff on the ACM Awards red carpet with a regal one-shoulder gown. McBride brought a little class and sophistication to the ACM event with her choice of gown, bringing just the right amount of sparkle with her dress’ bedazzled bodice, coupled with a super sexy high slit to show off just a hint of leg.
Mickey Guyton brought some serious metallic shine to the ACM Awards red carpet. Guyton stunned when she hit the red carpet in this gorgeous, white floor-length gown, complete with metallic accents that shimmered along with the paparazzi flashes.
Kacey Musgraves changed things up a little with her ensemble, going just a little gothic for her ACM look, which saw her sport super slicked-back hair and a floor-length black gown complete with a black mesh panel across the chest.
