‘Game Of Thrones’ Co-Stars Kit Harington And Rose Leslie Step Out For First Time As Couple

Game of Thrones co-stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie hit the red carpet at the Olivier Awards in London on Sunday, marking the first time the two have officially taken their romance public and made it official. According to People, Harington and Leslie have reportedly been spotted showing PDA since January of 2016, but this is the first time the Game of Thrones stars have been together on the red carpet.

The Game of Thrones stars were spotted talking closely and shared a kiss on the red carpet Sunday. Harington wore a tuxedo while Leslie wore a Malene Oddershede Bach gold gown.

For those that have never seen Game of Thrones, Harington portrays Jon Snow, who is Ned Stark’s bastard son and a member of Night’s Watch. During a mission for Lord Commander Mormont, Jon infiltrated the wildlings by pretending to forsake his Night Watch brothers. As a result, he fell in love with Leslie’s character, Ygritte, a wildling woman.

Leslie left Game of Thrones after season four, while Harington’s character was later killed off. There has been recent speculation that Jon Snow may be making a return to Game of Thrones, but Harington put the rumors to rest during an interview with Jonathan Ross on Saturday.

“I am no longer involved in the show so any secrets that are with the show I don’t actually know anymore, so it becomes very easy, Jonathan.

“You’re looking at me like you don’t believe me. It’s going to be so relieving when people actually see the show and realize that I don’t come back.”

Ross then queried Harington about recently being spotted on set of season six shooting of Game of Thrones.

“I was playing a corpse,” Harington said.

“I was there for a little bit, I was there for about a month or two months, it was spread over a bit and I was playing a corpse.”

Harington also told Ross that even royalty wants to know what’s going on with Jon Snow in Game of Thrones season six.

“Me and my brother got invited to Wimbledon as you do and a Royal was hosting, we didn’t know which Royal it was and it was the Duchess of Cornwall, and she was hosting it and we got sat with her, me and my brother. She leant over the table and said, ‘Are you dead?’ No word of a lie.”

The Olivier Awards honor the best in British theater. Original Les Miserables cast member Michael Ball hosted the 2016 ceremony where Kenneth Branagh won Best Actor for his role in Winter’s Tale and Lara Pulver won for her supporting role in the musical Gypsy. Pulver’s also known for her role as Irene Adler who is Benedict Cumberbatch’s love interest in BBC’s Sherlock.

The Game of Thrones stars were rumored to have dated back in 2012, but reports came out later that year that the romance had ended. Game of Thrones co-star Emilia Clarke nearly confirmed the relationship in January during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

“My goodness! You know, we like to spread the love on our show. It’s a beautiful thing.”

“She’s one of my best friends, so it’s good,” she said of Leslie, adding, “I mean, there are worse things than being caught kissing Jon Snow!”
