Khloe Kardashian In Shock As Lamar Odom Boozes Just Months After Almost Dying From Alcohol & Drug Binge
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom seemed to have healed their broken relationship after he was found unconscious in a brothel following a drug overdose. On the verge of finalizing their divorce, Khloe put the divorce proceedings on hold to remain his legal wife and make Lamar’s medical decisions. Remaining by Odom’s side for months as he stayed in the hospital after that brush with death, Kardashian emphasized her intention to support him throughout his recovery.
But now that he has left the hospital, Lamar has been spotted drinking again. And that’s left Khloe so distraught that she cancelled a scheduled filming of her talk show, Kocktails with Khloe, noted Cosmopolitan.
Although Kardashian claimed that she was ill, the reality TV star actually was suffering from stress over the knowledge that Odom was back to boozing. The situation became public knowledge after Lamar was seen with pals drinking at an Irish pub.
Lamar was gulping Remy Martin brandy only hours before going to an Easter church service with Khloe and the Keeping Up With The Kardashians clan. It has been about six months since Odom suffered an almost deadly overdose following taking drugs and drinking at the brothel in Nevada. He remained in a week-long coma after that, with Kardashian tending to him faithfully.
Now, however, Khloe is battling with Lamar in an attempt to get him to rehab. However, thus far, Odom is refusing to get help for his problems with addiction.
Turning to social media to share her feelings, Kardashian admitted that she feels helpless about the situation, noted Us Weekly.
“I hate this feeling…. Helpless,” Khloe tweeted.
Lamar has had a long public battle with both alcohol and drug abuse. But ever since he appeared in public for the first time after leaving the hospital at Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 3 fashion show with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians clan, Odom was thought to be in recovery. He currently is at a facility which is close to where Khloe resides in California.
“Khloe’s in disbelief and at the same time she’s numb from the pain that Lamar continues to bring her,” shared the insider.
Kardashian was also appalled by the fact that Odom did not even change his outfit before attending the Easter church service with her family, revealed the source.
“Like WTF? He’s drinking hours before Easter service and has the nerve to wear the same clothes. At this point, Khloe’s completely at a loss.”
Moreover, Kardashian has become aware that Odom seems to have lost his focus on getting healthy. Even though he almost died from kidney failure at one point after his drug and alcohol binge, the fact that Lamar returned to a bar so soon after leaving the hospital confirmed her fears for his future.
“[Lamar’s] behavior and constant disregard for his own life is no longer shocking to her,” added the insider. “In the back of her mind, she probably knew he would fall off.”
As for what the future holds for Kardashian, she is on the verge of letting go completely. Although Khloe has never given up totally, the most recent sighting of Odom at a bar just may force her to make that decision, speculated the source.
“For Khloe’s own sanity and mental strength, she has to disengage from Lamar completely,” pointed out the insider. “She’s yet to ever really do that.”
However, once Kardashian does take that step, it could prove to be worth the emotional toil it takes.
“But when she does, that’s going to be… the most rewarding decision she’s made in her life,” predicted the insider.
As for how Odom feels, he looked unhappy at that bar, an observer revealed to Radar Online.
“He looked sad, or even serious,” revealed the eyewitness. “He didn’t talk to anyone, not even his buddies. He paid for the drinks and sat on a booth away from the crowd with his sunglasses and hoodie on.”
