‘Hunger Games’ Mockingjay Pin To Sell At Target For $999
If you’ve ever had the desire to own a super-limited piece of Hunger Games memorabilia, here’s your chance.
The LA Times reports that in conjunction with the film’s highly anticipated release on DVD and Blu-ray August 18, Target will sell a line of Hunger Games collectables in very limited quantities (only 100 of each item will be sold) via their official website Target.com, including 100 14-carat gold replicas of Katniss Everdeen’s Mockingjay pin.
In addition to the special pins, which will be priced at $999 each, Target will also be hawking off other high-end limited items such as a replica of Katniss’s leather hunting jacket ($349) and a lithograph autographed by Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and eight other stars ($699).
For those with less to spend on movie memorabilia, the store will also have Hunger Game themed products in the $6.99 to $37.99 range including jewelry, picture frames, backpacks, lunch boxes, and more.
“The Hunger Games‘ franchise has truly captivated the nation. We’re proud to be part of this pop culture phenomenon and want to deepen Target guests’ engagement with the series through exciting product offerings and bonus video content,” said Target’s VP of entertainment John Butcher.
“Target is known for providing must-have merchandise at an unbeatable value, but we wanted to surprise our guests by taking it up a notch for The Hunger Games and unveiling a prestige collection for devoted fans.”
