Jessa And Ben Seewald Salvage Marriage Despite Baby

Jessa Seewald and Ben Seewald have been married for not even a full year, but they are already dealing with the issues of keeping the marriage hot with a baby. While Jessa and Ben have been super thankful of their baby, Spurgeon, they may also be wanting some moments for themselves.

“Jess and I would try to have pretty regular date nights before the baby was born,” he said to Us Weekly. “Now that the baby’s born, we’re going to have to make more of a conscious effort to say, ‘Hey, let’s go out on a date together.'”

Before the baby came along, Jessa and Ben went on dates regularly, making sure that they tried different cuisines and visited locations that they have not been together. In fact, the Seewald couple is a big fan of American fast food, often indulging themselves in the best milkshakes, fries, and burgers. Check out the picture that they uploaded when Jessa was getting some intense sweet cravings.

They also made efforts to go out with the other favorite Duggar couple: Jill and Derick Dillard. Jill, who is Jessa’s older sister, got married a year before Jessa got hitched. Ever since their respective marriages happened, Jill and Jessa hadn’t had enough opportunities to hang out like they used to. So they organized double dates to baseball games that would include the most important men in their lives.

Since then, Jill had her first baby, quickly followed by Jessa, who had baby Spurgeon.

To make sure that she continues the date tradition with her husband, Jessa Seewald decided to integrate the baby into the couple’s special day.

“The couple pack their bag full of diapers and bring their son with them to their friend’s taco restaurant,” reports Us Weekly. “Jessa, 23, feels this is a satisfactory destination, despite her sister Jinger Seewald’s doubts.”

I love tacos — absolutely love tacos,” Jessa said. “I think it’s a romantic date location — taco shop.”

There is also the issue of getting some alone time so that one can invest more fully in motherhood and marriage. To make sure that she does not burn out, Jessa went for a sisters-only meetup, leaving her son with Ben.

Jessa left her six-week-old baby Spurgeon alone for the first time with husband Ben,” reports Daily Mail. “Jessa went out for coffee with sister Jana and her sister-in-law Anna who brought along her baby girl Meredith. Ben was a bit apprehensive but Spurgeon fell asleep while he was watching him and Jessa enjoyed her coffee break without interruption.”

Looks like Ben has the ability and experience to handle the baby all by himself while his wife is enjoying herself.

To prove himself, daddy didn’t forget to snap a picture of his cute son for Instagram, like his wife usually does.

But even during her time away from her baby, the 23-year-old star of Jill and Jessa: Counting On couldn’t help but to think of ideas of keeping her family healthy and happy. With her younger sister, Jana, she explored ways to make sure that her younger siblings, as well as the quickly-growing nieces and nephews, can enjoy themselves outdoors.

“Jana also decided to build a tree house for the younger children to play on outside,” reports Daily Mail.

“It is something to help the kids be outside more,” she said.
