Arrested Development Begins Filming New Season, Will Air On Netflix In 2013

Happy dance of joy! The cast of Arrested Development will begin filming a brand new season on Wednesday. The show which developed a cult following but was eventually cut by the team at Fox has moved over to online video streaming service Netflix.

All of the shows original main characters are expected to return with some actors preparing to complete final contract negotiations. Among the casts notable actors and actresses are Jason Bateman, Jeffrey Tambor, Portia de Rossi, David Cross, Jessica Walter, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat and Tony Hale.

For fans of the show you can rest assured it will keep with its original direction as Imagine TV and 20th Century Fox TV are still on-board, as are Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo who have taken on the shows executive production credits. Ron Howard will also reprise his role as the Arrested Development narrator.

In the new season each show will follow a different member of the Bluth family with some episodes featuring multiple characters as needed. If all goes as planned a new season of Arrested Development will reach Netflix customers after wrapping in the fall.

At this time the Arrested Development series is meant to act as a bridge from the 2006 series to an eventual movie however the shows creators have left some wiggle room in case the series is picked up for additional seasons.

Arrested Development is set to air 10 new episodes exclusively on Netflix in 2013, although an exact air date has not yet been announced.
