Jay-Z and Beyonce Top Forbes “World’s Highest Paid Celebrity Couples” List

Celebrity Couple Jay-Z and Beyonce have a lot to be thankful this year. For the year ending May1, 2012 the celebrity couple earned $78 million dollars together. That massive sum was enough to put the at the top of the Forbes “World’s Highest Paid Celebrity Couple’s” list. Last year they ended up as the number 2 on the list.

Beyonce made $2 million dollars more than her hip-hop husband making a cool $40 million dollars to Jay-Z’s $38 million dollars. Beyonce’s sum is even more impressive since she took off a good portion of the year to give birth to their first child, Blue Ivy Carter.

Beyonce earns a great deal of her wealth through endorsements and royalties on her albums. Her last album went Platinum in the United States.

Jay-Z managed to pull in an impressive tub of money with his Watch the Throne album and tour. He has also put hi money into a whole bunch of successful business ventures including his ad agency Translation.

Coming in at second on the list were last year’s number one couple, model Gisele Bundchen and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. They were a close second with $72 million dollars between them.

Third place was a decently lower some of cash for Victoria and David Beckham, who between their soccer riches and fashion empire were able to amass a fortune of only $54 million dollars this year.

Fourth and Fifth place on the list belong to Hollywood couples Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie who pulled in $45 million dollars and Will and Jada Pinkett Smith who pulled in $40 million dollars.
