Ramona Singer Divorced: How She’s Dating After ‘RHONY’ Cheating Scandal

Ramona Singer is back for another season of The Real Housewives of New York, and it sounds like she’s ready to show a new side of herself. A few years ago, she learned that her husband, Mario Singer, had been cheating on her, and it was a humbling experience for her. She really wanted to work things out with her husband for a while, but Ramona quickly learned that Mario had no interest in working things out with her, and he was much more interested in working on his relationship with his mistress.

According to a new Bravo report, Ramona Singer has now moved on from the divorce drama, and she seems eager to start dating again. Her divorce is now final, and she’s able to move on from the failed marriage. While she has tried to date on The Real Housewives of New York, it sounds like Singer is more than ready to start dating now.

“Well my divorce was finally finalized in the fall, and I’m very happy because it really went well for me,” Ramona told FOX 411 in New York this week, adding, “I had two five month relationships, one right after the other, and I thought… what am I doing? Why am I getting myself into an exclusive relationship? I’ve been married for so long, over 20 years, just you know, go out there and enjoy yourself.”

These days, Singer isn’t thinking about Mario. It is no secret that her ex-husband’s actions are unforgivable, and Ramona’s daughter Avery was heartbroken when she learned that her father had cheated on her mother. She’s been keeping a low profile in regards to her parents’ divorce, but it sounds like Ramona is dealing with the divorce differently, as she wrote a memoir about her experiences.

“I had kicked him out of the apartment and I said I need a break because I was just over-medicated and my nerves were shot… after two weeks I said ‘I want to come see you’ and he said ‘No, I don’t want to see you. I want to spend time alone,'” Ramona Singer reveals in an interview with Fox News when her memoir was released last year.

“I just think when anyone betrays you, it’s horrifying. What was horrifying to me was his reaction when I got [to the Hamptons house]. He just did not look like the man I had been with… Basically, I arrived at the home to work things out with him, and I had a sneaky suspicion that the other woman might be there [but] she really wasn’t the root of the problem… When he saw me, the look in his eyes was panic. He said ‘Why are you here?’ He pushed me out. It was very surreal. I was living a nightmare. This wasn’t the man I had married,” Ramona Singer explains.

Singer has had many guesses as to why her ex-husband cheated on her. Ramona revealed that Mario got intimated by her success, as she experienced tremendous success with The Real Housewives of New York. And she opened up about his cheating to Fox News.

“I think he was resentful of my fame. I never wanted to embrace the word celebrity… [to say] that I was a celebrity, but I have to accept it. I am a celebrity around the world. I can’t even go to Europe without getting recognized,” Ramona Singer explains of her success.

Mario had indeed just fallen to the background. Many people expected that he cheated on her, as he kept talking about cheating — and not getting caught.
