According to People, when Beyoncé wanted to introduce a new clothing line that featured leisure athletic wear, she didn’t need to go far to find her first inspiration: her charming daughter, Blue Ivy. She recalls things that made her feel empowered, triumphant, and energized — the things she wanted for her own daughter. She recalls the way her father would awaken her in the morning to go running.
“I’d wake up in the morning, and my dad would come knocking on my door and tell me that it’s time to go running. I remember wanting to stop, but I would push myself to keep going. While the leisure line is a athletic wear, it’s meant to be curves-friendly, helping women to gain their self confidence and finding their “park,” as Beyoncé did, while she pressed on to work out and become a major recording artist and fashion icon.
The line Ivy Park will launch at TopShop on April 14, and features Ivy Park emblazoned shirts and shower sandals, some typically Beyoncé sexy bodysuits and much more, promising something for every fitness lover or fashionista.
