Jessa Duggar Seewald Has Fans Worried About Son’s Safety: Was Spurgeon In Danger Playing In His Car Seat?

It seems that no matter what the Duggar family does these days, people are very critical of them, and that includes how they handle their children. The most recent controversy involves Jessa Duggar Seewald, who innocently posted an Instagram photo of her husband, Ben, and their baby son, Spurgeon, sitting in a coffee shop. It seems innocent enough, right?

The Instagram photo that was posted this week shows Ben Seewald sitting down in a nice comfy chair with a huge book on his lap at their local coffee shop. Beside him was little Spurgeon sitting in his car seat, happy as a clam playing with his favorite giraffe. Jessa wrote along with the photo, “Coffee with my guys.” She is obviously proud of her family and wanted to share with her fans. However, a few of them noticed that the 5-month-old baby was still strapped in his car seat.

While most people were letting Jessa know how cute the picture was, there were others who condemned the new mom, saying that she was putting him in a dangerous situation. According to some commenters, it is apparently dangerous for children to be left in their car seats for too long. One commenter said that many babies have died from leaving them in their seats like that. They are not talking about leaving babies in a hot car, but just sitting in it for an extended period of time.

While only a couple of people gave Jessa Duggar their warnings about what could happen to their firstborn, most everyone else responded that there was nothing wrong with it and that they all have done the same thing, especially on long car rides.

“Babies have slept in car seats and bouncers for years and years and there’s been no evidence, just opinions on why they shouldn’t. Calm down people and just let Jessa be. She is doing an excellent job as a first time mom.”

When it comes to the Duggar family, controversy is not far behind, especially since the whole Josh Duggar scandal happened last year. However, some people may feel that it goes way too far. Jessa is a new mom, and she is sure to get plenty of advice from not only her own family but also from everyone on social media.

Jessa’s older sister, Jill Duggar Dillard, is certainly no stranger to the mommy controversy. She has even been accused of child abuse by many on social media when she or husband Derek has posted photos or videos for all to see.

A few months ago, Jill Dillard had sent out a video of her and Derick trying to get baby Israel to hold still while they were attempting to take some photos of him. His daddy could be seen holding him down trying to get him to keep still for the pictures to be taken. According to a previous report by the Inquisitr, that video caused a firestorm of people saying that they were abusing their child. At one point, Derick was accused of slamming the baby’s head down on the blanket to get him to stay still.

There is also another incident when many were concerned with the way Jill had Israel situated in the baby sling while she was carrying him around. They quickly told her that she was doing it all wrong and could cause damage to her child. Yet another one criticized the reality couple for wrapping their crying baby too tightly to take a photo of him, as reported by Fashion & Style.

Both Jill and Jessa are more than likely aware of what is being said about them. They love to keep fans updated with the latest photos of their families, However, that also comes with negative comments on what they are doing wrong and even something like a small bruise on the baby usually turns into an uproar that there is child abuse going on.

Love ????

This latest Jessa Duggar controversy on leaving her baby sitting in his car seat too long could be a stretch, especially since his parents are sitting right next to him. Many parents have done the same thing, according to many of the fans on Instagram.

Should Jessa and Ben be concerned about Spurgeon while they are enjoying their coffee?
