‘Walking Dead’ Major Spoiler: Audio Of Negan Scene Leaked Online
Walking Dead fans are eagerly awaiting the Season 6 finale that will air this Sunday night. Many of us are spending lots of time on the internet this week looking for spoilers. We want to learn the fate of Daryl and Carol, whose fates we were left questioning at the end of last week’s episode. But we also can’t wait to see the big villain we’ve been waiting for.
AMC gave us a small Walking Dead spoiler this week with the release of photos of the back of this new character. But last night, a much bigger spoiler was released, and it’s all about our new villain. He’s the game-changer we’ve been told is like no Walking Dead villain we’ve seen before. He’s the leader of the Saviors and the people of The Hilltop. His name is Negan, and his weapon of choice is a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire.
Our big, bad Walking Dead villain will burst onto the scene in the Season 6 finale, and late last night a major spoiler for that scene was released online by the folks at The Spoiling Dead Fans. The name of Negan’s bat is Lucille, and Negan has a nasty habit of using Lucille to bash in the brains of people he doesn’t like. We hear he’ll do just that at the end of the 90-minute Walking Dead Season 6 finale, but we don’t know who will get up close and personal with Lucille.
Rumor has it we won’t know until next season. But thanks to the Spoiling Dead Fans spoiler, we can get a taste of that scene. Or at least an earful. They posted a link to the audio of the scene on their Facebook page and it’s awesome. The audio of the last scene of this weekend’s Walking Dead finale gives us an amazing spoiler that will leave fans everywhere counting the minutes until they can see the action that goes with the sound. Just be warned that if you choose to listen to the audio spoiler, the sounds at the end are graphic.
This Walking Dead season finale spoiler is everything you could want in a spoiler. We hear every word out of Negan’s mouth, from the moments just before he introduces himself to Rick through to his twisted game of “eeney-meanie-miney-mo” and the sickening and repeated thuds of Lucille meeting the head of one of Rick’s gang. The audio gives us a great “look” at this eagerly anticipated Walking Dead season finale scene, but if you’re looking for a spoiler that will tell you who Negan will kill, this one won’t do that. We’ll have to tune in Sunday night, and even then we probably won’t know.
Readers of the Walking Dead comics have known for a long time that Negan was coming, and since they’ve read the comics on which the series is based, they have held some spoilers from time to time. But in this case, Robert Kirkman has suggested that they may not strictly follow the comics. So Walking Dead readers, this may be one time the comic does not provide spoilers.
When Entertainment Weekly spoke with Walking Dead‘s Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes), he didn’t provide any spoilers, but he did have this to say about Negan.
“You know… Just get ready, man. Just get ready… I read the script and I went, ‘This is the greatest entrance ever written’… It’s incredible. Although it’s also kind of unbearable… Everybody needs a hero, but I think they probably need a really good baddie even more. Negan’s incredibly charismatic.”
And the Walking Dead finale itself? Any spoilers there, Andrew? No, but he did say this.
“It’s an incredibly brilliant and well constructed and tense final episode… It’s really dark, man. It’s really dark.”
The wait is almost over. The Walking Dead Season 6 finale will be 90 minutes long and will air on AMC this Sunday night at 9 p.m. ET.
