Ashley Olsen Or Elizabeth Olsen To Star On ‘Fuller House’? See What They Have To Say

Ashley Olsen and Elizabeth Olsen have been rumored to join Season 2 of Fuller House. It was previously assumed that Mary-Kate and Ashley would reprise their iconic role of Michelle Tanner. But they both turned it down since they quit acting a long time ago, and have a busy and fulfilling fashion career.

John Stamos has been the one who’s been trying to convince the popular twins to come on the show. Not only does he play Uncle Jesse, but he’s also the executive producer. Stamos revealed last May that he was “heartbroken” that the Olsen twins refused to return. Now that the show has been renewed, he told the Today show that he’s still holding out hope.

“I was going to see Ashley last night and be her to be on the show. We would love to have them. I know everybody would love to see them. I have a good feeling about it.”

Since the exciting news that Fuller House has been renewed for a second season, fans are wondering if Ashley Olsen will join the Netflix reboot. According to the Hollywood Life, the former child star was seen talking to Bob Saget. It’s not clear if they were talking about the popular series. Saget, 59, and Olsen, 29, were spotted at the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot premiere on March 1, according to Page Six.

Both Ashley and her twin sister, Mary-Kate Olsen, have refused to join the cast for the first season, despite the pleas of their fans and their former cast members. They were pretty much the only cast members who did not join Fuller House. It’ll be any wonder if Ashley’s chat with Bob will get her to break down and star on the second season. Fuller House has written off Michelle’s absence by saying that she’s pursuing her fashion career in New York City.

But Bob and Ashley have also been close, as have most of the cast. This isn’t the first time that the two stars have been spotted together. Ashley also attended the premiere of his Broadway show, Hand of God, back in November 2015. Then they met up at a charity event in December. He shared an Instagram photo of the two together.

There was even a scene when DJ, Stephanie, and Kimmy drunk dialed Michelle after Kimmy’s bachelorette party.

But what about Mary-Kate and Ashley’s younger sister, Elizabeth Olsen? Rumors swirled that the actress was also asked to join Fuller House.

E! News spoke to the star at the premiere of her latest film I Saw the Light. She addressed the rumors that she was asked to play Michelle in the show. When Elizabeth was asked about being approached to play the fan-favorite character, she revealed that she didn’t get an offer.

“If I did, I’m pretty sure no one on my team heard it. I don’t know where that was started,” she said, looking rather confused.

When she was told that it was series creator Jeff Franklin who started the rumor, Olsen didn’t appear to be mad. She said that she “can’t say a bad word” about the man because he’s “known me since I was an infant.”

In that same interview, Elizabeth also revealed that she watched the first episode of Fuller House and said that “it was great.”

As for Franklin, he told E! News that he’s also hopeful that the Olsen twins will change their minds about being on the series.

“It’s like all family reunions — there’s always somebody that doesn’t show up. But hopefully next time around, we’ll have them back.”
