Chris Brown Calls Kehlani’s Suicide Attempt ‘Flexing For The Gram’

Chris Brown mocked Kehlani Parrish in the light of her suicide attempt. On Tuesday, the R&B singer posted a photo of herself in a hospital bed, explaining that she attempted to commit suicide following the harsh comments she received on social media. TMZ reported that Kehlani was taken to the hospital to be treated and then placed on psychiatric hold after doctors found that she was a threat to herself and to others.

Some blamed the Grammy-nominated singer for cheating on NBA star Kyrie Irving. Fans assumed that the two were still dating, and were shocked and confused when PartyNextDoor posted a photo of his hands intertwined with hers in bed. Chris Brown, a friend of Irving’s, took to Twitter to share his opinion on the most buzzed-about topic on social media.

He attacked the 20-year-old, who revealed that she wasn’t cheating on her ex-boyfriend: “Girls be mad at a n***a for f***ing around with b**ches but her DMs got more names then the Declaration of Independence. They look like they have stank sex!!!! #KYRIEMVP” (SIC)

But wait, Chris had more to say. He said that Kehlani was only attempting to commit suicide for attention and sympathy.

“There is no attempting suicide. Stop flexing for the gram. Doing s**t for sympathy so them comments under your pics don’t look so bad. OK IM DONE. Guess she gone have to watch the games from a real “box” now. “THE TELEVISION” #OHB “OUTTA HERE BIH” [sic]

The go-to R&B collaborator in Hollywood wasn’t totally done, though. Brown said that he’s supporting his friend Irving, which is understandable. But to throw Kehlani under the bus for her mental health issues is inexcusable.

“I’ll be the BIGGEST PIECE OF. But ima ride for my Homies regardless. KYRIE is probably one of the only good guys left. IDGAF!! The amount of followers I got and the amount of comments are the amount of f***s I give.” [sic]

Chris Brown has since deleted the tweets since he openly mocked Kehlani. Even some Twitter users mocked Chris for his insensitive comments.

One wrote: “Suicide is NOT a joke @chrisbrown. Your misogyny is disgusting & if you don’t think attempted suicide is real, look at your own career.”

Another added: “Anytime I see Chris Brown trending I know he either said something stupid or punched somebody.”

Most of Brown’s own fans agreed with his controversial comments. But there were some who reminded him of his abusive past involving Rihanna. Ironically enough, Brown posted a photo on Instagram that caused concern among fans and others as it implicated suicidal thoughts.

He shared a lonely photo of himself performing on stage along with the caption: “When u tired of the f***ing devil ruining your life and u hear God speak for the first time. No one knows what I deal with on a day to day. The average man wouldn’t hesitate to blow his fucking brains out but that’s the cowards way out.”

It sounded similar to the time when Kehlani called social media the “goddamn devil.” She blamed the harsh and cruel social media comments for her suicide attempt.

Other music artists have come out in support of Kehlani, including Keyshia Cole, Jojo, and Nick Cannon, who is the singer’s mentor. Cannon posted a photo of his visit to the singer in the hospital. Kehlani has since removed all of her posts from her Instagram account, but she did reveal to her fans that she was finally home. Sources close to the singer revealed to TMZ that “she’s doing much better.”

But Kehlani is still in a vulnerable state right now. Hopefully she does take a break from social media and ignore the insensitive comments that continue to come out against her.
