Bethenny Frankel Undergoes Surgery: ‘RHONY’ Could Have Gotten Cancer?

Bethenny Frankel is back for another season of The Real Housewives of New York, and in the trailer, she revealed that she was sick. She is seen speaking on the phone and crying to whoever she’s talking to. In the trailer, Frankel reveals that she needs to check to see if she has a living will, and this is something that she will talk about on the show. Since the trailer came out, Bethenny hasn’t said anything about her health issues, but Real Housewives of New York fans are curious as to what it is.

According to a new Radar Online report, Bethenny Frankel hasn’t said anything about her health scare, but a source is now revealing that she was diagnosed with fibroids. And apparently, these fibroids could possibly have developed in cancer if she didn’t have them removed.

“Bethenny had to have fibroids removed because of concern it wasn’t taken out, she would develop cancer,” an insider has revealed to In Touch as reported by Radar Online, adding, “the surgery was supposed to be very easy, but Bethenny did suffer from excessive bleeding afterward.”

If this was the information that Bethenny received when she was filming the show, it makes sense that she broke down in the car about the living will. One can imagine that she would panic when she heard the word “cancer” when she is running her business and taking care of her daughter while stuck in her divorce.

“It was a scary time for Bethenny and made her realize there was no close family in her life to help with the recovery,” the source continued, revealing, “Estranged from her mother for years and going through a bitter divorce to estranged husband Jason Hoppy, there aren’t a lot of people in her life that she can rely on. It’s sad that Bethenny’s paid staff helped to take care of her in the days after the surgery.”

Bethenny Frankel did talk to someone on the phone, but it is possible that she was calling her assistants at the office, who may be helping her out with her personal issues. The report reveals that Frankel underwent a secret surgery, and she’s been privately recovering. She hasn’t shared this on social media, which could be because of her contractual agreement with Bravo.

Just a few days ago, Frankel celebrated a victory in her divorce. She’s been fighting her divorce for longer than she was married. Bethenny had been paying spousal support to her estranged husband for years in the amount of $12,000 per month. That has been changed, and she’s now only paying $10,000 in child support to Bryn. Since the two have already worked out a custody agreement, it sounds like the only thing left in the divorce is the $5 million Tribeca condominium Frankel bought while married to Hoppy, who is currently living in the residence. This was a home that Frankel had bought for her family, but Jason refused to move out after she filed for divorce.

According to the Daily Mail, Bethenny Frankel is keeping up her business life, as she’s busy signing deals and making connections. Even though her personal life isn’t perfect, she’s pushing forward with her Skinnygirl empire.

“Just heard amazing news about new business venture, can’t wait to share! tx for all your support xoxo,” Bethenny tweeted to her nearly 1.5 million followers on Twitter after leaving the business meeting, and photographers caught her with a bounce in her step as she spoke on her phone.
