Vanessa Hudgens Clings Onto Boyfriend Austin Butler To See ‘Hamilton’ On Broadway

Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler had the ultimate date night — seeing Hamilton on Broadway! They went at a good time, as Lin-Manuel Miranda was announced to go on a week-long vacation very soon. They also haven’t had a good date night in a while, so this one was to make up for all the lost time.

“Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler had the hottest tickets in town for their date night in New York City on Thursday,” reports Daily Mail. “The happy couple got to see Hamilton on Broadway and couldn’t contain their excitement as they headed hand-in-hand into Richard Rogers theatre.”

They looked as loved up as ever, refusing to let their hands go throughout the evening. The fact that they had the most hard-to-get tickets on Broadway meant that they were excited about the show as much as they were excited about spending time with each other.

But she did manage to let his hands go to take a cool backstage picture with Hamilton man himself, Lin-Manuel Miranda. Seeing how versed Austin also is on Instagram, he captured the fun moment between Vanessa Hudgens, the creator of Hamilton as well as Julianne Hough in one frame.

The fact that Vanessa is “taking a break from filming Powerless in Vancouver, British Columbia” means that she is ready to have some quality time with her boyfriend of three years.

One way the fans know that she has indeed been busy is through her Instagram. She loves to post about Austin Butler as much as she can, but the last time she did was over two weeks ago.

It is a great picture and caption of him, though.

Before their super special date out to see Hamilton on Broadway, they spent their Valentine’s Day out in the nature. However, they ran into some trouble when they vandalized the ancient rock formations of Sedona National Park.

“A heart carved into an ancient red rock formation is drawing the attention of authorities in Arizona, who are investigating to see if Vanessa Hudgens is the culprit,” according to Mashable. “The High School Musical star posted a photo of the carving, bearing the names Vanessa and Austin (Butler, her boyfriend), on her Instagram page Sunday, but later removed it. Other photos with the hashtag ‘sedonadreams’ still appeared on her page Tuesday.”

That is not good press for the actress and her boyfriend. But not much has come from this accusation, so either they wrapped it up all nicely under the table or they weren’t guilty of the crime!

Vanessa Hudgens has been going through some hard times. She recently lost her father to cancer, too soon after Austin Butler lost his mother to the same illness.

“One week after her father Greg’s death, Vanessa Hudgens shared a heartbreaking note with her fans on Instagram,” reports Huffington Post. “Over the weekend, the actress posted the following image to the photo sharing app, with the caption, “If only…”.”

The picture read, “I wish heaven had visiting hours.”

Maybe Hamilton was a surprise present from her boyfriend to help her feel better after losing her father so early in her life. Seeing how he experienced something very similar, he probably understands just what and how long it takes to overcome the grief of losing someone you love.

That’s also probably why he doesn’t mind it so much that she clung onto him as they worked through the Midtown crowd to see the Broadway show.
