Phaedra Parks Hasn’t Talked To Kandi Burruss Since ‘RHOA’ Reunion: Friendship Over?

Phaedra Parks is currently busy focusing on her various business ventures, her two children and working on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Parks has been on the show for years, and she shared the birth of her two children on the show and now her pending divorce. Phaedra has revealed that she is done with her marriage and wants out, even though Apollo Nida doesn’t want to get divorced. In fact, these past two years have been quite crazy for Phaedra and one can imagine she would have loved a friend to lean on, and sadly, Kandi Burruss wasn’t eager to step up to the plate. According to a new Bravo report, Phaedra Parks is now revealing that she hasn’t really talked to her former friend since the reunion.

During the reunion, Kandi revealed her thoughts about Phaedra’s decisions in regards to Apollo being in prison. Burruss thinks it’s important to keep the relationship strong between Apollo and his children and Kandi would have taken her children to see their father behind bars if it was up to her. The two used to be close friends, but things have definitely changed between them.

“Reunions are always tough because it sparks very heated conversations about issues that we’ve had throughout the season. And so you always leave exhausted because it’s mentally very overwhelming to sit in a room for approximately 13 hours to rehash all this stuff. So it can be very uncomfortable at times, but you’re just happy when it’s over,” Phaedra told the Daily Dish after she wrapped up this season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, adding, “I can’t say that the reunion left [Kandi and me] in a better place. Obviously the reunion reignited issues that we had had in the past so only time will tell. To be determined.”

Of course, Phaedra’s decision with her children isn’t what tore them apart. They grew apart over a period of time and there was also an issue of money. Kandi’s husband had worked on a workout video for Parks and he claimed he hadn’t gotten his money from her. Phaedra Parks paid him right before the reunion to settle everything, but this caused quite a rift between the Real Housewives of Atlanta stars as well. And now, Phaedra reveals that she hasn’t actually talked to Kandi since they filmed the reunion almost a month ago.

“Well, you know, um, like I said at at the reunion. I’ve tried and I’ve tried. I’ve made every concession that I can and so, right now I just gotta leave it in God’s hands because I mean, I can’t do anything else,” Phaedra said while visiting Watch What Happens Live, adding, “I had asked Todd for the actual footage and I still got it in an actual usable file so, I wanted to just clear it all up. I gave it enough energy; I’m done with it. He’s been paid his total $25,000 dollars. He can go do what he needs to do now.”

It is very possible that Kandi has another side of the story. Burruss may have a reason why she hasn’t talked to Parks since the show wrapped last month. Maybe she’s upset at how Parks has treated her over the past couple of months. Or maybe she’s still holding a grudge. One can imagine she has her own reasons for not reaching out to her former friend to solve their issues and move on. It sounds like this friendship could take up much of the plot line next season.
