Drake Tour 2016: Rapper Announces ‘Views From The 6’ Tour Plans

Drake’s Views from the 6 album is setting record anticipation. And with a new album comes a new tour, right? Well, Drake recently mentioned the possibility.

Drake announced — in a “hint” — his Views from the 6 tour plans while at the South x Southwest (SXSW) festival, in Austin, Texas. As far as Drake’s Views from the 6 tour is concerned, it’s the current hype along with his album.

During the event, Drake hinted that — once Views from the 6 releases — he’ll begin his tour sometime shortly thereafter. But, of course, Drake didn’t give any definitive dates. However, he did mention that he’ll be returning to Austin, Houston, and Dallas, Texas, as part of the Views tour — as reports Rolling Stone.

Apparently, Drake was full of surprises during his appearance.

For one, the performance came as a surprise. During the Fader Fort event, Drake had the audience in complete bliss since his name wasn’t on the 2016 lineup list.

  • 3:00-3:25 Jazz Cartier
  • 3:45-4:10 Gallant
  • 4:30-4:55 Goldlink
  • 5:15-5:40 Show Me the Body

  • 7:30-7:55 Yo Gotti
  • + More

  • 1:00-3:00 DJ Dirrty of Ballers Eve
  • 3:00-5:00 Qualiatik
  • 5:00-8:00 OG Ron C & the Chopstars

Possibly, Drake was hidden within the “+ More” category. Obviously, Drake has an ideology of surprising his fans with music to keep them on the edges of their metaphorical seats — whether from mixtapes to albums or concerts appearances to tour dates.

Interestingly enough, via Drake’s social media accounts, he’s expressed that Views from the 6 will release in April. Yet, the Inquisitr reports that some people think it’ll be early April, while others believe Drake’s album release will be later in the month. Unfortunately, there is no confirmed answer regarding the album’s release. However, at the least, Drake’s fans can expect Views from the 6, for sure. During Drake’s performance at SXSW, he stated, “Views From the 6 coming in how many weeks, I hope you enjoy that s**t.”

While Drake has been wrapping up Views, he’s also been featuring on other artists’ projects as well. For instance, Drake’s OVO artist — PartyNextDoor — just dropped a new track called “Come and See Me.” It’s making waves throughout the hip-hop and r&b communities as one of the better songs from the artist. In addition to the buzz, Drake featured on the track as the third verse.

If you haven’t heard the song yet, you can do so below.

Drake views his OVO camp as family. And, slowly but surely, each artist who’s affiliated seems to make their ways up the ranks. The newest album project has come from Drake’s recently-signed OVO duo, Dvsn. The group released its Sept. 15th r&b album onto iTunes just days ago. However, as previously reported by the Inquisitr, it will release everywhere else on April 1.

Yet, to digress, Drake’s music isn’t the only buzz happening with the Views from the 6 artist. Recently, he opened his Virginia Black office. Virginia Black is Drake’s brand of whiskey, if you weren’t aware.

He gave the public a “first look” at the product via his Instagram. Then, last night, Drake uploaded a photo of the office space.

Apparently, Drake has OVO in full effect. He’s more than a musical artist. Drake’s a businessman.
