Leah Messer Rumored To Be Quitting ‘Teen Mom 2,’ Reality Star Upset Over ‘Bad Editing’

Leah Messer has been under a lot of pressure over the last two years. From marital problems to losing custody of her twins to Corey Simms back in October, things have been rocky. Ultimately, Messer ended up divorced from Jeremy Calvert last summer.

While things haven’t been easy with the three girls on her own, no one knew how bad things were about to get before Season 7 of Teen Mom 2 aired. Messer is upset with the show for how they are making her look, even accusing them of editing things to purposely make her look bad. While the majority of fans aren’t buying it, that is the story she is telling.

There has been an outburst from Leah Messer on Twitter since the premiere of Teen Mom 2 aired last Monday. She was immediately slammed for denying her twins breakfast before school. The scenes were hard to watch, especially when one of the girls said she didn’t trust her mommy. According to the Hollywood Gossip, Leah Messer may be quitting Teen Mom 2 over the latest drama. Criticism immediately started following the airing of the show, and it hasn’t let up. Fans threatened to call the authorities on Messer, and that wasn’t even the worst of what was said.

Controversy has surrounded Leah Messer since she began filming 16 & Pregnant. She had only been dating Corey Simms a month before getting pregnant with the twins. It was a lot to handle, and then cheating scandals rocked their relationship and marriage. As Teen Mom 2 began filming season after season, Messer made more poor decisions that left her open to criticism.

During Season 6, there were accusations that she was using drugs. In fact, there was one specific scene where she completely spaced out and almost fell asleep holding a baby. Messer went to rehab for depression and anxiety, but many fans still believe addiction was behind the treatment.

It is understandable that Leah Messer is upset with the way things have been portrayed on Teen Mom 2. She has claimed that she wanted to share her story with other young girls who have gone through similar things, including anxiety and depression while being a mother. Messer also opened up about growing up poor. Her childhood wasn’t easy, and becoming a teenage mother was not something she planned. While some of her decisions have been questionable, there have been times when she has done what is best for her girls. Now, she is back to having split custody with Corey Simms, and she has Addie full-time while Jeremy Calvert is working. Things seemed to have been going better for Messer until the Season 7 premiere of Teen Mom 2 aired.

The fit Leah Messer pitched on Twitter could affect whether or not Season 8 of Teen Mom 2 will be filmed. According to Radar Online, Leah Messer dogged production and editing for the way they made her look. The problems stem from her being filmed while getting the twins ready for kindergarten and leaving the house without feeding them. While she insists they do eat breakfast, it was clear that the morning in question they were not fed. Messer said they could eat at school, which neither girl was interested in doing.

It is possible that the Teen Mom 2 editors could have clipped the scene to make Messer look bad, it is unlikely they were able to manipulate the entire thing. There have been other red flags, many of which Corey Simms and his wife, Miranda, have noticed. Things are not going to get easier for Leah Messer as the season goes on, especially since the custody decision from last October is going to be airing soon.
