Respected New York Physician Accused Of Ejaculating On Sedated Patient’s Face – But Claims It Was Accidental After Masturbating In Hospital Lounge

A highly respected emergency room physician, David Newman, 45, of Montclair, New Jersey – who worked at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York — is being accused of ejaculating on a sedated patient’s face, and sexually assaulting three other women between the ages of 18 and 22, reported the NY Daily News. However, Newman is denying the allegations, claiming that, after he masturbated in the hospital lobby, “semen may have also transferred from my hand to her face during the time I treated her.”

The accusation came about when his patient, Aja Newman, filed a civil suit against Newman, who is a married father of two and an Iraq war veteran. Newman claims that, although she was heavily sedated on January 11, she awakened during the ordeal and reportedly saw the emergency room doctor ejaculating on her face, as well as her breast. Dr. Newman denies the allegations.

After the incident, the “victim saved the bodily fluids that were on her hospital gown and handed them over to police.”

In an interview at his home on January 12, Newman was shown a picture of the victim and he said, “I treated that woman in the ER for shoulder pain.” And he added that he was “embarrassed because I masturbated in the lounge, and it was possible that the ejaculate may have gone from my hands to the woman’s blanket.”

“Semen may have also transferred from my hand to her face during the time I treated her.”

“I can’t believe this is happening,” the New York doctor added. “My explanation doesn’t make sense. Is she alleging that I raped her?”

The worried doctor was initially reluctant to give samples of his DNA, claiming that he felt “unprotected and wanted to make a call to my lieutenant friend for advice because this appears to be serious,” but shortly after the doctor agreed to give samples of his DNA.

According to the Mirror, the doctor was arrested and charged Thursday after it was discovered at a Manhattan Supreme Court that his DNA matched the semen collected from his patient’s face and gown.

According to the assistant District Attorney Eun-Ha Kim, “Dr. Newman masturbated at her bedside and ejaculated on her face.” He went on to say that “Spermatozoa was found on her eye, and DNA from her cheek and eye match Dr. Newman’s DNA.”

It was reported that before the doctor allegedly ejaculated on the patient, he “administered a dose of morphine after a nurse had already done so,” and he did not mark it in the patient’s chart, which is in “violation of hospital protocol.”

District attorney Cyrus Vance stated in a press release that the “four young women who came to the hospital for medical treatment were sexually abused by the very doctor entrusted with their care.”

“One was sedated to the point of being physically helpless — a nightmare scenario for any patient to endure. I would like to thank these brave women for their strength in coming forward.”

The New York doctor, who is being accused of sexually assaulting four patients at Mount Sinai Hospital is no longer an employee. Following the incident, the hospital released a statement, stating that “He has not provided care to patients at Mount Sinai since the investigation began.”

“We take the nature of these allegations very seriously and continue to conduct our own extensive internal inquiry.”

Although he was offered four years in prison if he pleaded guilty to the crime, Newman decided to plead not guilty to the charges.

Vance stated that he “would like to thank these brave women for their strength in coming forward, and encourage any other additional potential victims to call our Sex Crimes Hotline at 212-335-9373.”
