WWE News: ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin To Get Involved In Shane McMahon Vs Undertaker Match At ‘WrestleMania 32’

WrestleMania 32 will be taking place at the huge AT&T Stadium, known to many as Cowboys’ stadium due to the Dallas Cowboys playing there. WWE loves working in Texas, and having another WrestleMania take place here makes sense. The stadium offers them potentially their largest audience of all time, which is awesome to see. It seems WWE wants to get everyone involved, in fact, even random legends. The ones that make the most sense are the guys from Texas, one being WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

Austin was rumored to have a part in WrestleMania, and it appears that he very well could end up having one as soon as tonight by the end of WWE RAW. Many believe Austin could be a referee for the Hell in a Cell match with Shane McMahon and The Undertaker. Due to the rumor of this main eventing the show, WWE clearly wants to end the event with some big names, and all three are perfect for that. This does not include interferences, which Austin could very well keep away.

So, what started the speculation of an Austin influence? On Austin’s Facebook page, he posted a picture from WrestleMania 17, where he shook the hand of Vince McMahon after beating the crap out of The Rock to win the WWF Championship. It was a shocker, as no one saw The Rattlesnake siding with The Chairman. This picture being thrown up with the line, “Anything can happen at WWE WrestleMania…” was more than enough for people to ask some questions.

One fan asked Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer about Austin being involved in WrestleMania, and he claimed the following.

“It wasn’t planned as a few weeks ago but plans can always change.”

This is true for every WrestleMania event. Vince McMahon goes back and forth on the show and what to do with it often, but the week of, he goes anal, it seems. The day of, the card can be changed a bunch of times. Right now, he very well could be going back and forth on the main event. If Austin is added, it would seem obvious that the Hell in a Cell match will end the show. This is on top of the fear that a Roman Reigns win will result in a sea of boos. Clearly it will, especially for a crowd like the ‘Mania crowd.

Vince would be smart to let the HIAC match end the show, as fans will cheer regardless of who wins. Reason being, people love Undertaker, and watching him win in his home state would be ideal for the fans. Meanwhile a Shane McMahon win means a lot more for WWE and the television ratings issue they have had, which makes a Shane win very important to the WWE fans. So, he will get cheers, as well.

We know Shane will need help, which could be where Austin comes in.

Vince very well could add Austin as a special guest referee or enforcer to make sure things go well in the match. That would be a good role that would allow Austin to be part of the action and help the match create various special moments. Whether Austin is being added to insure Undertaker wins for Vince or he’s there to assist Shane in the end, it doesn’t truly matter. Having Stone Cold at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, Texas, just makes sense at the end of the day, really.

All of this being said, if WWE does add Austin to WrestleMania, we’ll know by tonight on WWE RAW. It is unsure how things will go down, but most would imagine that Austin will tell the world he’ll call the match fairly and all. This is entertainment, people.
