‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: AMC Pulls Finale Trailer That Gave Us A Sneak Peek At . . .

Two episodes remain in Season 6 of AMC’s The Walking Dead, and the biggest spoiler of the season leaked recently: a trailer of the final episode. There has been talk all over the internet about what’s going to happen in the Walking Dead finale next week. There’s been talk about a big cliffhanger that will serve as the big finish, a cliffhanger that includes a big new villain.

The finale trailer provided spoilers on all of these topics of Walking Dead discussion and objects of speculation, so AMC pulled it, but not before some Walking Dead fans saw it and shared what they saw. Let’s take a look at what they had to say.

Spoilers start now. Stop reading right now if you don’t wish to read spoilers.

We don’t need a Walking Dead spoiler to show us what some of Negan’s people look like and how ruthless they can be. We’ve already seen some of the people associated with the new baddest-of-the-bad villain. Rick and his people successfully attacked them not long ago, but, of course, we haven’t seen the last of these ne’er do wells.

In the first Walking Dead spoiler from the trailer yanked by AMC, BGR reports that Rick, Abraham, Carl, Aaron, and Eugene emerge from their RV to try to negotiate with Negan’s people again, but it seems they’re not having it. Then, without showing us his face, we see Negan appear with his beloved baseball bat.

This Walking Dead spoiler gives us a glimpse at a moment fans have anticipated for a long time, and according to Entertainment Weekly, creator Robert Kirkman got a thrill from watching it unfold before his eyes.

“Seeing Jeffrey Dean Morgan in costume, holding Lucille, saying lines — yeah, I don’t get goosebumps a lot, but that definitely happened.”

So, what makes this Walking Dead character so different from others we’ve seen in previous seasons? Kirkman shared a bit of a spoiler by describing him like this.

“Negan is kind… respectful… psychotic… ruthless. This is a very nuanced character that has a lot of different shades to him. There’s a lot of honor to him. There’s a rule system in place. I think he’s unlike anything anybody’s experienced in The Walking Dead thus far.

“He’s definitely a different kind of bad guy. He’s sadistic and dangerous and all those things that you would expect from a Governor, but he’s much more in control. He’s much less sporadic and he has much less of a temper. This is not a guy who’s going to lose control and start shooting his own people the way the Governor did.”

One more interesting spoiler appears in the Walking Dead Season 6 finale. We see Carol’s hand holding rosary beads and covered in blood. A rather dead-looking hand really. Is this a spoiler indicating that after leaving the group last week, Carol was killed by walkers?

The final episode of The Walking Dead Season 6 is reportedly a gut-wrenching one. Cinema Blend said that the actors had difficulty filming the episode.

“Andrew Lincoln couldn’t sleep the night before filming, Melissa McBride was left speechless by the script, and Lauren Cohan said filming was the hardest day on set thus far.”

Prior Walking Dead spoilers have indicated that the Season 6 finale will end with one of Rick’s people meeting Negan’s bat, Lucille, up close and personal, and it doesn’t end well. Viewers will be left not knowing who died as Walking Dead creators film the attack from the perspective of the victim. So we will see the bat coming, after Negan apparently uses a round of “eenie-meaney-miney-mo” to decide whose brains to bash in. But we won’t see who it hits.

The Walking Dead Season 6 finale will air on AMC at 9 p.m. ET on April 3.
