Ellen Page Receives Death Threats On Twitter, LAPD Investigates

The LAPD is seeking information about two Twitter accounts after actress Ellen Page received several death threats on the social networking site.

According to TMZ, the LAPD recently sent a search warrant to Twitter regarding messages sent to the actress in June.

One of the threatening messages reads: “I’m going to murder Ellen Page. She’s dead.”

Page’s stalker apparently started thinking about killing the actress after Page attended an LA Kings game with True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard.

One message reads:

“Ellen Page if you continue to date Alexander [Skarsgard] I will K-1-L-L you in public in the next year … Be it in a club, at a game, in a restaurant, or when you’re signing autographs.”

The LAPD has not revealed the twitter handle that has been making the threats. According to the Huffington Post, the danger extends past the social networking site. Ellen Page has also reportedly received phone calls from someone threatening to kill her.

Page recently starred in Woody Allen’s To Rome With Love and will next be seen in The East. Page has also recently signed on to appear as an animated version of herself in the video game Beyond: Two Souls.
