Serial Rapist Killed After Tractor-Trailer Runs Over Him While He Is Distracted By Porn

The convicted serial rapist Kevin Jordan, also known as the “Highland Street Rapist,” was killed after a runaway tractor trailer hit the man as he watched porn on his cell phone. The convicted rapist was released early for good behavior in 2010 after serving only a fraction of his 25 year sentence and moved back to Memphis just blocks away from the street he once terrorized. Ironically, Jordan would be killed just half a mile away from where he raped multiple women in the 90s. The sex offender was reportedly too preoccupied with the pornography on his phone to notice that trailer barreling towards him, and he ultimately died from his injuries.

Breitbart reports that 55-year-old Kevin Jordan was walking down Park Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee, watching pornography on his phone when a tractor trailer came unhitched on the street near him. However, witnesses say that Jordan was so preoccupied with pornography playing on his phone that he was not looking up to see the trailer heading his way. Therefore, he did not move as the trailer barreled towards him. The man was struck by the trailer and died from his injuries.

People in the area say that it is ironic that Kevin would die watching pornography as he was convicted serial rapist who terrorize the community in the early 1990s. Kevin Jordan pleaded guilty to 20 different felony charges, including nine counts of rape and one attempted rape. At the time of his arrest, he was known in the community as the “Highland Street Rapist” and would stalk his victims before breaking into their home and violently raping them.

Following the guilty plea to the rapes in 1994, Kevin Jordan was sentenced to 20 years in prison. However, in 2010, he was released for good behavior. The rapist then returned to his hometown in Memphis, where he moved back into a home just blocks from where he had once admitted to raping multiple women. Though Kevin was released for good behavior, his run-ins with the law were not over.

Just two years ago, Kevin found himself charged with indecent exposure after he exposed his genitals and masturbating as he stared at a woman through an office building window. However, Jordan’s fiancée insisted that he was not exposing himself, but was urinating because he was on kidney dialysis. The fiancée says that Jordan had changed his ways and that it is “a big loss,” and she still loves him.

“It’s a big loss. I love him. I still love him.”

Though those close to Jordan claimed he was reformed, not everyone agreed. Shelby County Judge Chris Craft says that he remembers Jordan as the “scariest guy” he had prosecuted at the time, and that there is no cure for Jordan’s issues.

“I just remember he was the scariest guy that I had ever prosecuted at the time. Kevin was a sexual predator. And for sexual predators, there’s just no cure for them.”

It was noted that had Jordan been tried for his serial rapes today he could have received life in prison without parole. However, in 1994, when he was prosecuted, that was not an option.

“The law allows repeat sexual offenders to be sentenced to life in prison without parole, this was not the case in the 1990s.”

Some of those in the community called Jordan’s death “ironic,” since he died while watching pornography as it likely dealt with some of the crimes he was guilty of perpetuating.

The driver of the truck pulling the tractor trailer when it unhitched has not currently been charged with any crime but an investigation is still underway.
