Don Lemon Offers Scathing Response To Omarosa Defending Donald Trump, Abruptly Shuts Down Trump Segment
Don Lemon is caught in the crossfire of the media again for another epic moment in journalism following his latest political debate with Omarosa Manigault. However, many Americans who viewed the heated CNN segment may not even consider it a substantial debate simply because it ended so abruptly.
According to Raw Story, Don Lemon began the Trump v. Cruz discussion by asking about Donald Trump’s attack on Senator Ted Cruz’s wife, Heidi Cruz. For those who missed it, Trump retweeted an insulting meme about Cruz’s wife on Thursday, March 24. Although Trump didn’t personally create the meme, the fact that he retweeted it didn’t sit well with Cruz. The tweet led to a response from Cruz. He tweeted a brief message condemning Trump’s decision to attack a woman and even questioned him as a man for doing so, according to Mediaite.
Here are those tweets.

Donald, real men don't attack women. Your wife is lovely, and Heidi is the love of my life. https://t.co/pprXhIMzUT

But, of course, Trump’s latest verbal jab isn’t the first. In fact, it’s one of many he’s made headlines for throughout his campaign. Because of this, Don Lemon asked the former Apprentice star about her perspective on Trump’s seemingly “over the top” presidential campaign.
Omarosa decided to steer the direction toward a more positive side of the Trump campaign by focusing on the latest Super PAC ad featuring a cheesecake photo of Melania Trump, but Don Lemon wasn’t having it. “I don’t think we should start there,” Omarosa began. But, instead of acknowledging her response, Don Lemon said “No no no. I’m not gonna let you do that. Omarosa, stop! ” Lemon said. “Omarosa, stop! Okay, let’s stop. Cut the mic” he said as Omarosa tried to argue her point.
“We’re not doing that. I want everyone on this panel to answer the question directly, and I will let you –” he said. “You can ask questions, but you can’t answer them, Don,” Omarosa interrupted. Then, Don Lemon abruptly ended the segment. “We’ll be right back,” he said before going to a commercial.
Here is the clip of their heated exchange.
Reactions to Don Lemon’s jaw-dropping segment immediately began circulating on social media. Even Omarosa took to Twitter with a subliminal response to Don Lemon’s actions. She credited Donald Trump for teaching her tactics that prove to be effective when faced with awkward situations like the CNN segment with Don Lemon.
@realDonaldTrump taught me on the 1st episode of the Apprentice.

The fiery debate has also led to a number of heated discussions about whether Don Lemon was right or wrong for shutting down Omarosa. As expected, Don Lemon and Omarosa’s debate has received mixed opinions.
Since this isn’t Don Lemon’s first meltdown on camera, many Trump supporters have taken his actions as an opportunity to further stereotype liberals while praising Omarosa for defending Donald Trump. Even Democrats have voiced split opinions about Don Lemon’s etiquette on camera. Some believe he made the right decision by not allowing her to divert the question in any way, while others argue his approach was highly unprofessional because ending the segment violates free speech. In fact, Don Lemon has even been accused of being sexist.
#CNN has some talented hosts, but @donlemon at @CNN is not one of them. https://t.co/T6CcyOvzuT Cutting mic “controls" free speech & truths.

@RawStory good for him, she acted the same way during her time on the apprentice, apparently she learned from the #MasterofNoAnswer.
