Iggy Azalea Says It’s A ‘Bit Sucky’ That She Has To Postpone Her Wedding

Iggy Azalea, popstar rapper who is happily engaged to Nick Young, is postponing her wedding to go on tour, according to Billboard. If there’s anything Iggy loves more than her fiancée, it’s her fans and her music. Iggy already has her wedding dress ready, but ever since her latest single dropped, she has had to focus more of her time and energy on preparing for her upcoming tour than ever before.

Iggy Azalea spoke about moving her wedding.

“I’m planning a wedding. Actually, I moved my wedding ’cause I have to tour, so my wedding plans are changing. It was going to happen at the end of the year, but now I have to go to work, so we’ll probably have to wait until the end of the next basketball season to do that. So that kind of is a bit sucky, but it’s all right.”

Moving the wedding date probably won’t bother Nick Young too much though, as Iggy Azalea joked that he’s enjoying being a bachelor. When it comes to the wedding, Azalea says that her fiancée is most interested in the food.

“Nick only cares about the food, and we’re not up to that yet. [Nick is] really awesome and great and totally understanding and doesn’t mind. He’s like, ‘I can be a bachelor for longer,’ and he’s really milking it.”

The decision to move the marriage for her tour isn’t completely out of character for Iggy Azalea. According to Entertainment Weekly, Iggy’s music is what kept her going through the hardest times of her life.

Iggy Azalea spoke about what her rap means to her.

“It’s my whole life. This is what I do. I’ve been rapping since I was 14, and this is all that I know. It’s what my gift is, whether you think I’m talented or not. I don’t know any other job and I’m not interested in any other job.”

She also would like to try her hand on TV production in the future, if she ever got the chance to. She’s a step ahead on this decision because she already bought a production company. Iggy Azalea spoke about her TV production dreams.

“I started a production company, and I bought the rights to a couple of books that I really like, and also some television shows from Australia. I talked to BBC Australia about some [kids shows] that I really believed in and was a fan of when I was a kid, and I had some ideas to rework [them].”

Coming off a rough year, this year seems full of promise for a now optimistic Iggy Azalea. Iggy Azalea spoke on what happened to her and how she felt about last year. She said that she felt out of control last year, and that she lost of perception of herself due to the “media’s narrative” of her life. She said that she felt vilified from the media’s perception of her. It was only when she came to the realization that she can’t control the media’s perception of her that she was able to move on and concentrate on living her life.

According to E! Online, Iggy Azalea is releasing a new album, titled Digital Distortion. The theme and inspiration for the album is the rough year she faced last year, for which she blames the media.

Iggy Azalea spoke on the album and its inspiration.

“We live in this world of technology and social media, [and] you might have somebody else tell a narrative or story about you online that isn’t factual, or maybe you might be representing yourself in away that isn’t 100 percent accurate. Unfortunately, we don’t have control over our digital narratives at all.”
