‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Victor Fires Michael, The Newman Family Turns Against Him, And Phyllis Covers Her Tracks

What can the viewers expect from Friday’s show on The Young and the Restless? Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) fires Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) after he discovered he took the case only to throw it. The whole Newman family turns their back against Victor in court — everyone but Summer (Hunter King). The fact that Summer refused to desert her grandfather bothered Phyllis Abbott (Gina Tognoni) greatly. Summer just cannot turn her back on Victor because she feels that his reasoning was to protect his family.

On The Young and the Restless Thursday’s episode, Soap Central posted that Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) rushed to the jailhouse to tell Victor a juicy piece of information: Michael only took the case so he could throw it and ensure that he remains behind bars. Luca claimed he heard Michael talking about the plan to his wife, Lauren, and noted that she warned him not to get caught. Victor threw him out and called him a traitor because he was supposed to be a Jabot employee. Why would he betray the people he works for in such a way? Luca explained that he could be useful to Victor and stated he can trust him. Of course, he threw him out of the room, only to figure out how he could use the information he learned from the slimeball Luca.

Young and the Restless spoilers state that one by one, each family member betrays Victor and tells the court he needs to be held accountable for his actions. Adam (Justin Hartley), who most of the audience felt would cave, told his father that his actions were criminal. Victor had something to say about each family member and vowed when it is all over, they will be sorry they ever did this to him. Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) testimony was effective and seemed to have a big impact. She stated she had been forced to live in his world and often turned a blind eye where Victor was concerned. However, this time, she has to make him accountable for his actions.

Before Jack (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis testified, they agreed they must maintain their composure and stay calm. Jack was able to keep calm and even explained that he didn’t know how Kelly Andrews (Cady McClain) died. Jack noted that Victor manipulated him by making him believe he killed Kelly and the men on the cartel boat, but that is not true. Phyllis, however, was not able to maintain her composure, and she turned up the drama.

She Knows Soaps said that Victor was disappointed in Michael’s defense strategy after he didn’t cross-examine any of the witnesses. For example, Victor thought that Phyllis should have been questioned about her role in re-launching Paragon Project. Victor wants him to call Phyllis back up to the stand. However, Michael refuses. It was then that Victor hands him a piece of paper and requested that he call Luca to the stand. Michael looked confused but went along with what his billionaire client wanted.

The Young and the Restless spoilers state Michael called Luca to the stand and read the paper out loud. The question: “What do you know about the defense strategy?” Luca tells the court that Michael is deliberately trying to lose the case to ensure that Victor was sent to prison for the rest of his life. Michael, Lauren, and Phyllis are left speechless and shocked. Their faces show the guilt almost immediately.

The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Victor fires Michael and tells the court he will represent himself. He calls himself as the first witness and prepares to tell his side of the story. His family and business associates look terrified at the possibility that he could try to throw any one of them under the bus as he tries to save his own hide.

The Y&R spoilers also tease that next week, Michael will argue with Luca to try to convince the court that he lied and that he’d never try to throw a case. It looks like he may be in real trouble if the judge believes Luca’s story. Also, Jack will be called to the stand again to be cross-examined by Victor, and Christine (Lauralee Bell) told Jack to prepare himself for difficult questions, as Victor is unpredictable. Towards the end of next week, Victor receives his verdict — will the mustache walk away without any jail time? It seems unlikely, but with Victor Newman, anything can happen.
