‘Bridget Jones’ Baby’: Renee Zellweger Used British Accent Even During Off Hours

Bridget Jones’ Diary had Renee Zellweger play Bridget in the movie. She was much appreciated for the way she put on a British accent. It was all quite perfect. Renee Zellweger has said that she did not slip out of her British accent even after the shoot was over, saying that she was way too lazy to switch accents. Renee Zellweger said on Good Morning America, “It’s just really lazy. I don’t want to do the work to get back into everyday,” Daily Mail has reported.

Zellweger worked behind the scenes on the ITV breakfast show to research the role. “I’ve learned from stealing your crew, they were magnificent.”

The actress said she had no idea how the production of a TV news show took place. She said she had no idea the schedule changes as new information keeps coming in. “I didn’t realize that you had a live feed coming in all the time from the internet and obviously all round the world and you change your schedule as the new information comes in,” she said.

She went on to say that she realized how important it was to be prompt, because news kept changing all the time. “So whatever you might have scripted in the evening gets scrapped in the moment if something of important comes in.”

“It’s very impressive because you just do it on the dime,” she added

She added, “[Kate’s] not just gorgeous everybody. She’s not – she has a little ear piece and they say, ‘Right we’re not doing that, all that stuff you thought we were doing we’re doing this instead and you have no script, go.'”

The trailer of Bridget Jones’ Baby is out and there are quite a number of shock twists that are included in the movie. Although the third movie may not have the same characters as the first two, she meets Patrick Dempsey’s Jack Qwant at a music festival after she takes a fall in the mud while wearing white. That’s right, the unfortunate moments in Bridget Jones’ life never get over.

The last time Renee Zellweger was in the news had nothing to do with Bridget Jones or even her acting talents. Daily Mail had suggested the actress had plastic surgery to change her Asian-looking features. The publication said Renee, who used to have a distinct look, removed the folds on her eyes to look more European.

“The reason Renee used to be distinctive looking – with her narrow eyes and epicanthic eye folds – is because she is an unusual genetic mixture,” Edward Dutton, Professor of Finnish Culture at Oulu University in Finland, said.

Daily Mail went on to say that Renee had a Swiss father and her mother was part Kven and part Sami in origin, which gave the actress a more Eastern-looking face. “With a Swiss father and a mother who is part Kven and part Sami – ethnic minorities Indigenous to Norway, Finland and Sweden – Renee had a somewhat ‘eastern’ face.” Dutton went on to compare the work Renee has gotten done with Michael Jackson.

Plastic surgeon Randal Haworth said “small, squinty eyes” were in fact her trademark characteristic and that the Bridget Jones actress should never have changed that. “Renee’s defining trademark characteristic was her small, squinty eyes, which complemented her quirky personality perfectly,” Beverly Hills-based plastic surgeon Dr. Randal Haworth said.

Haworth went on to say that Renee probably had removed the excess amount of eyelid skin. “In my opinion, Renee underwent a blepharoplasty; which entails removing the perceived excess amount of eyelid skin and fat from the area between the eyebrow and the upper eyelash.”
