Friday, August 3, 2012, will go down in gaming history. It is the day Bethesda revealed the A List voice actors For Dishonored. Included among the Hollywood stars, who will give voice to supernatural assassin Corvo Atano’s grim world, are Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon (Thelma Louise, Dead Man Walking), Golden Globe winner Brad Dourif (The Lord of the Rings trilogy, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest), Emmy Award nominees Carrie Fisher (Star Wars trilogy) and John Slattery (Mad Men), Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill), and Lena Headey (300, Game of Thrones).
The steampunk inspired world of Dishonored is being created by Deus Ex’s Harvey Smith and Half-Life 2’s Viktor Antonov. They are pulling out all the stops, with one of the most awe inspiring groups of vocal talent ever assembled. Raphaël Colantonio, president of developer Arkane Studios, made that clear, when he said, “Having such talented actors voice Dishonored’s compelling cast of characters adds a rich, powerful element to the game. We want to draw people into this virtual world and make it feel real. This celebrated cast adds wonderful depth and credibility to the overall Dishonored gameplay experience.”
Dishonored promises to brings to life all the best elements of first-person stealth, action adventure games. The dark minds at Arkane Studios described Dishonored as only they can:
“Dishonored is set in Dunwall, an industrial whaling city where steampunk- inspired technology and otherworldly forces coexist in the shadows. You are Corvo, the once-trusted bodyguard of the beloved Empress who has been murdered. We can’t wait to get our hands on this game. All the pieces are falling perfectly into place and the stunning list of actors and actresses, who will provide the voices for Dishonored, is icing on a world class cake. Dishonored will be released in the US on October 9, 2012, in Australia on October 11, 2012 and throughout Europe on October 12, 2012. The game will be available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
