Gigi Hadid Vs. Twitter Trolls: Model Forced To Defend Zayn Malik Relationship
Gigi Hadid fights back in a fiery exchange with a twitter troll. The tweets have been deleted, but not before being captured and reported by Elle. The internet troll attacked Hadid after she posted a picture of her boyfriend Zayn Malik. The unknown Twitter user was accusing Gigi of having a new boyfriend every two weeks, and complaining about Gigi’s walk.
“Practice how to walk properly instead of having a new bf every 2 weeks,” read the now-deleted tweet.
Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have been together since November. Prior to that, Gigi was in a two year relationship with Cody Simpson. That relationship lasted from 2013 until May 2015, according to Unreality TV. If she had been seen with anyone else, it is hard to imagine a picture or story would not have surfaced, but there are not even rumors that she has been unfaithful. Hadid is usually surrounded by Paparazzi and other media.
Gigi Hadid is in high demand in the fashion industry. Hadid has a successful career with an abundance of past work in her portfolio. She has numerous magazine covers and runway shows to prove she has what it takes. If she doesn’t walk well, then apparently Chanel, Miu Miu and Versace are not complaining at all, as Cosmopolitan reports.
Gigi Hadid apparently did not appreciate having her career skills and her morals called into question in the same sentence. She replied with her own bit of thinly veiled fury, as she resorted to mock concern for the misinformed troll.
“I’ve dated 3 guys in 3 years, hun. My walk can always get better; I hope the unrelated bitterness in ur heart can too.”
That “hun” seems to really be the real burn, according to Elle. The point Hadid made about bitterness might also have hit home. Maybe that troll’s career or love life isn’t quite measuring up or adding up to the celebrity status they feel they deserve? If that is the case then her other remark would certainly sting too.
Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik appear to get along quite well, and there are no reports of discord between the two. Zayn was recently quoted by the Daily Mail, explaining the hardest part of their relationship is trying to keep it normal and out of the spotlight. Privacy is a very rare treat for Gigi and Zayn, as their careers have moved them both into superstar celebrity status. Often, being a celebrity impacts their personal lives, but Zayn tries to keep all that in the background of their romance, rather than the forefront.
“I try to keep the two very separate. I try to, as much as I can. But there’s only so much you can do. I’m learning to deal with it. It’s just one of those things now, in the background. I just leave it as a bit of a noise in the background.”
For Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik, being a superstar comes with a price, and sometimes that includes battles with bitter or jealous trolls, as well as trying to slip away from the cameras of the paparazzi for a little intimate time. Last year a troll insulted Gigi by saying she was “too big” to be a model, according to the Daily Mail. Apparently this allegation too, slipped by the observant eyes around the runway shows. Again, trolls say things, but no one important to the fashion industry is saying Hadid is too big, or that she does not walk gracefully enough.
Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are in the spotlight and that sometimes means unknown others will make senseless comments, that are never the less hard to ignore.
