Jenna Jameson Endorses Mitt Romney

Retired porn star Jenna Jameson is backing Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential election. She announced her decision at a San Francisco strip club Thursday, according to CBS San Francisco.

Jameson said,

“I’m very looking forward to a Republican being back in office. You’re rich, you want a Republican in office.”

Romney wants to keep the current tax rates for all Americans, but President Obama is proposing raising taxes on income above $250,000. With an estimated net worth of $30 million, Jameson’s decision to endorse Romney almost makes sense.

However, Romney has never been too keen on Jenna Jameson‘s former profession. In 2008, Romney unveiled an effort to combat online pornography. In a clip that surfaced earlier this year, Romney said,

“I wanna make sure that every new computer sold in this country after I’m president has installed on it a filter to block all pornography and that parents can click that filter to make sure their kids don’t see that kinda stuff coming in on their computer.”

A former anti-porn prosecutor from the Reagan administration also claimed Romney vowed to crack down “vigorously” on pornographers had he been elected president. Even though Jameson retired from porn in 2008, she still runs ClubJenna, a multimedia adult entertainment company.

Jameson was also showing public support for Hillary Clinton in 2008, which makes her endorsement of Romney all the more surprising.

Jenna Jameson isn’t the only adult film star praising Romney. Even though he plans to vote for Obama, Ron Jeremy told the Boston Herald,

“I think the fact that he’s such an amazing father proves a lot. I give him a lot of credit. He’s raised some good sons. When a man is a really, really good father, that’s very important.”
