Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Building $100K Playhouse For North West? ‘Story Is A Complete Lie,’ Website Reports

Admittedly, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have big plans when it comes to remodeling their home. But a $100,000 playhouse for 2-year-old daughter North West?

Even that is too much for the flashy famous couple, one news outlet reports.

Originally, In Touch magazine reported that Kim and Kanye were building a four-room, $100,000 playhouse, complete with a state-of-the-art kitchen, Italian marble counter tops, custom furniture, and a so-called “glam room.” The glam room was said to include a walk-in closet, a nail bar, and a hair salon. The playhouse also is said to include a fireplace, a mini living room, and a reading nook.

The Sun reported that the mini-mansion was built by La Petite Maison, and that West had worked closely with an interior designer to create the playhouse for North. West and Kardashian reportedly wanted to provide the playhouse for North in order to provide a “sense of stability,” as Kardashian’s daughter has been living in various places — including Kris Jenner’s home — as Kim and Kanye’s home is renovated.

The only problem with the playhouse tale? The entire story is “a complete lie,” according to Gossip Cop.

The celebrity news site reports that after checking with La Petite Maison, it’s become clear that Kim and Kanye are not actually building and over-the-top playhouse for their children.

“[The story from In Touch] is a complete lie. Pathetically, no one at the magazine thought before publishing this fabrication to see whether its bogus source was telling the truth,” a writer for Gossip Cop reported. “Gossip Cop called La Petite Maison, the supposed builders of North’s tricked-out $100,00 playhouse, and the company confirmed to us the publication’s claims are 100 percent false. A spokeswoman for La Petite Maison exclusively tells Gossip Cop, ‘We build for celebrities, but not for them.'”

The rumor about a $100,000 playhouse for North is just the most recent in a slew of rumors about renovations on the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s home. Previously, amid rumors that Kanye West was broke, it was reported that the couple was installing a man-made lake to create an oasis in their backyard.

Throughout the renovations on their homes, first in Bel Air and then in Hidden Hills, Kim and Kanye have lived with momager Kris Jenner, though recent reports indicate that Kim and Kanye may have finally moved out of the KUWTK matriarch’s home.

The Kardashian-West family reportedly moved in with Kris Jenner twice — first in 2013 when they were doing renovations on their $11 million Bel Air home, and then more recently when they purchased and began renovating their $20 million Hidden Hills home. It is the Hidden Hills home that is rumored to have the lake and the six-figure playhouse.

The rumors of the $100,000 playhouse come amid a confession from Kanye West that he is actually $53 million in debt. The rapper-turned-fashion-designer took to Twitter in February to confess that he was broke, though subsequent reports indicated that the tweet may have been misleading. Some believe that instead, West meant he had spent $53 million to create his most recent clothing line, Yeezy Season 3, and his most recent album, The Life of Pablo — both of which were released in February.
