‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ Star Gizelle Bryant Planning To Build Empire

The Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant announced that she was working on a makeup line for people of color. Gizelle felt that she couldn’t find a product that worked for her skin tone and she knew that she wasn’t alone in the struggle to find a great foundation. Rather than wait for someone to create a product for her, she decided to create her own product and some product meetings were shown on The Real Housewives of Potomac. So, when will the product be available, and what plans does this Real Housewives star have in the future?

According to a new Bravo report, The Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant is now revealing that this foundation is just the beginning of something she hopes will be much bigger. In fact, she has big plans to create and build a large empire.

“It’s very difficult for women of color to find tinted moisturizers and/or foundations that match their skin tone. And if they do find it, then it’s ashy, then it doesn’t have the ingredients in it that aren’t irritating to your skin,” Gizelle told the Daily Dish, adding, “I’m trying to alleviate all of that. I want everyone to look beautiful when they wake up in the morning.”

On The Real Housewives of Potomac, Bryant got her co-stars together to test out some of the makeup. She wanted to see what the ladies thought about the product. And even though Ashley Darby and Karen Huger had some issues to work out — which they chose to do during the event — Gizelle thought that the testing party turned out excellent. She got some feedback from her Real Housewives co-stars, and she felt it was an excellent experience.

“My makeup focus group party was nothing but a huge success,” Gizelle revealed in her blog for the Real Housewives viewers, adding, “The ladies got to touch and feel the product, as well as discuss their personal concerns with their own makeup.”

And it sounds like this isn’t just another Real Housewives product that is being created with the goal of cashing in. Apparently, Gizelle has made plenty of progress on the product when the Real Housewives of Potomac episodes were playing on Bravo. And she could be on track to launch this new line of products around mid-2016. She explains that she does plan on launching more products after this initial launch. Even though she struggled to find a name for the product on Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac, it sounds like she’s found something that works for her.

“It has been difficult for me to find things that don’t irritate my skin and that don’t have me looking ashy or a different color than what I am. So I was kind of trying to fix a need for myself,” the Real Housewives explains, adding, “And then also, my kids are brown girls, and I know when they get older, they’re going to wear makeup, and I want to be able to give them something that’s on the market that matches their skin complexion as well.”

The topic of skin color is something that will continue on next week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac. Bryant is clearly a bit hurt by Katie Rost’s decision to not show up for the makeup testing, and one can imagine this could possibly hurt their friendship down the road. For now, this Real Housewives star should focus on her business, not her friendships.
