Warner Brothers Possibly Looking To Accelerate Solo Affleck Batman Movie

It has been reported after the Batman V Superman debut that the solo Affleck Batman movie may possibly be coming out sooner than ever planned.

Cinema Blend announced that the making of the solo Batman movie is being accelerated and will possibly be aired even before Aquaman, which is scheduled to be released on July 27, 2018. It is no joke that Batman was always one of the most liked DC characters.

Affleck’s Batman will make appearances in Suicide Squad and both the Justice League movies. Umberto Gonzalez, the host for Heroic Insider revealed the rumor that Warner Bros is making the solo Batman movie a top priority.

In March, 2018, Flash is set to be released, therefore it is assumed that the Affleck’s Batman movie will possibly be released in May unless they can make it as soon as January or February of 2018.

As of now, DC movies have two scheduled releases each year up to 2020, however, if they would throw in a solo Batman movie, that would take one of the years up to three releases.

Cinema Blend further announced that it is unknown whether Affleck’s Batman film will take place in the present or the past. Affleck apparently already written his own script and he is also being considered to direct the solo Batman movie, considering his success with previous movie directing, such as Gone Baby Gone and The Town and Argo.

Movie Pilot shared the possibilities of what the solo Batman movie may be.

  • A prequel

If Warner Bros made a prequel, they would generally cast a whole new cast, including that for Batman; However, they could still use Affleck to assist with the writing or directing of the new film. If they chose to make a prequel, it would most likely show an older Batman and go into the details about Robin and the reasons that Batman started to kill.

  • A pseudo-sequel

This would most likely involve re-casting Affleck as the Batman, but the problem that could arise with this is the Justice League movie could interfere with Affleck’s schedule. A story involving Red Hood could be a good story line, with possible flashbacks of Robin’s death.

  • A Team Up

It is possible for Batman to team up with another League member, possibly Nightwing.

Creators shared some ideas of their own about who could possibly play some other important characters in the new solo Batman film. First, the villain, Thomas Elliot, also known as Hush, is a childhood friend of Bruce Wayne. With the strong friendship between Affleck and Matt Damon, it is favored for Damon to play the role of Hush.

Penguin, also known as Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot has an uncanny resemblance to John Goodman. Not only do they look alike, they act alike too.

A favorite mentioned by Creators is Leonardo DiCaprio to play the Riddler, also known as Edward Nigma. Not only will DiCaprio bring credibility to the role, it is thought that his prior acting roles qualify him as the perfect villain.

Some other big-name actors thought to make Affleck’s solo Batman film a huge success are as follows:

  1. Two Face- Tom Hardy
  2. Selena Kyle/Catwoman- Charlize Theron
  3. Poison Ivy- Jessica Chastain
  4. Mr. Freeze- Jason Statham
  5. Hugo Strange- Bryan Cranston

There is no proof just yet that Affleck’s solo Batman film will have any of these successful actors playing the important roles as mentioned, however, more information will be released as soon as it becomes available.

If the solo Batman movie is going to be released before Aquaman, which comes out the end of July, it is assumed that shooting would start at the end of this year or beginning of next year.
