Will ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6 Be ‘The Best Season Yet?’

Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss of HBO’s fantasy drama Game of Thrones are setting high expectations for fans by going on record stating Season 6 is going to be the best season yet. They go on to add there is not one weak Game of Thrones episode and many of the episodes have turned out even better than what they have hoped for. To add to the hype, there is much speculation over favorite character Jon Snow, played by Kit Harrington, coming back from the dead, as well as statements about Season 6 of Game of Thrones revealing it has been the hardest season to produce.

“The whole season,” Benioff stated. “Dan [Weiss] and I talk about this a lot. This is not us trying to hype it. Usually there’s an episode or two we’re kind of nervous about, that didn’t turn out as well as we hoped. This season there is not a weak episode.”

“We had great directors who knew what they were doing, paired with excellent [directors of photography]. We thought at the script stage it might be our strongest season. Then the episodes came in better than we hoped. We’re always reluctant to say it’s ‘the best season yet’ because so much of that is in the eyes of the beholder. And Dan and I are so close to it that it’s impossible to be unbiased. But that’s my sense – watching them all together now, this is the best one we’ve done. It’s also the one I’m proudest of, because it was the hardest.”

According to Entertainment Weekly making Game of ThronesSeason 6 the best season yet is going to be quite the feat. Game of Thrones shattered Emmy records last year, winning a total of 12 Emmys. This beat out the previous record of nine Emmys in one year held by The West Wing.

Speculations and Game of Thrones Season 6 spoilers have been flooding the Internet.

“Those pretty little butterflies have grown into mighty dragons,” Stated George R.R. Martin, author of the Game of Thrones book series. “Some of the ‘spoilers’ you may encounter in season six may not be spoilers at all… because the show and the books have diverged, and will continue to do so.?”

No doubt the Game of Thrones Season 6 trailer has left GOT fans with goosebumps. Digital Spy calls the Game of Thrones trailer “epic.”

With the hauntingly beautiful “Wicked Games” playing softly in the background, the trailer opens with a scene of Jon Snow’s dead body. The Game of Thrones Season 6 trailer goes on to showcase several great quotes fans can expect to see from some of their favorite characters. Perhaps one of the most powerful quotes is what Tyrion Lannister, played by actor Peter Dinklage, says to Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner).

“You’re in the great game now. And the great game is terrifying.”
