Nathan Bates Of ‘Bringing Up Bates’ Appears To Be Courting: Is It A Duggar Girl?
This week on a new episode of Bringing Up Bates, there was courtship talk that has everyone curious about what is going on. Nathan Bates all but confirmed that he is courting. A girl named Ashley came to stay with them and Nathan said that he has been talking to her several months and has been praying for what is best. Nathan even shared that he tries to see Ashley at least once a month. The two seem to really like each other and it was obvious she was there to see Nathan and not just the Bates family. She Knows shared the details of what Nathan Bates said this week on the show that got everyone talking.

There have been rumors that Lawson Bates might have been courting Jinger Duggar, but at this time, there is no talk about that at all. Ashley, that Nathan is obviously courting, is not a Duggar girl and on the show, they didn’t share any details about what family she is from. Her last name is Salyer. Nathan’s brothers teased that they know something is up even though Nathan wouldn’t use the words courting. You can tell that they are more than just friends with each other. Here is what Nathan did say about it, though.
“I’ve been thinking and praying over the past, you know, four or five months that me and Ashley have been talking. And, you know, there’s always things that you never know until they happen.”
At this time, Nathan Bates is 22-years-old. That means he could be getting married soon or still has plenty of time to have a slow courtship. The fact that they showed Ashley on Bringing Up Bates does mean something. This gives fans a chance to get to know her.

It was obvious in this episode that the Bates’ family really likes Ashley. They all seemed happy that she was there and the girls even asked Ashley advice about redecorating their bedroom. Nathan Bates and Ashley have been spotted together before and were even seen giving each other side hugs. Ashley is a student in New York right now. This makes it where Nathan and Ashley can only see each other once in a while and not all the time. They have to somehow find a way to make it work if they want things to last. Ashley has been seen in pictures with the Duggar family before as well.
Free Jinger talked back in July about meeting Ashley on a recent episode. At that time, she came to visit the Bates family along with her sister. It seemed very obvious that Ashley was there to see Nathan at that time as well. The Bates family does follow her on Instagram as well. Ashley also went on a medical missions trip to the Philippines, which is something that Nathan Bates does all the time.
They didn’t show Ashley leave to go home in this episode. Hopefully, this means that Ashley will be back next week and there will be more talk about Nathan Bates’ courtship. The viewers would love to hear the details from him about what is going on and if he has a woman in his life.
