Lil Wayne is currently one of the most celebrated hip hop artists in the world. And just last week, another artist, Kendrick Lamar, referred to him as “the greatest,” saying that he greatly influenced his fashion style while growing up. The following was his statement, as reported by Vibe.
“Yeah, man, we was heavy. That’s a real story like, we was just huge, still to this day, huge Lil Wayne fans. Lil Wayne is the greatest… It was a big part of what he was talking about, so we always hold Lil Wayne in high regards. Juvenile as well. And yeah, it’s the impact of them man. To be a part of it the same way he was a part of it years later is just a great feeling.”
Lil Wayne soon got wind of the praise and saluted Kendrick via Twitter.
On to news related to his love life, Christina Milian, Lil Wayne’s ex-wife, shared a post a few days ago captioned “Once upon a time you had my heart.” She also added an image captioned “If you can’t treat her good she’ll treat herself better.. #BonApetit”, on Instagram, while donning a bikini. The following was the image.
Milian had previously cited busy schedules as the main cause of their break-up, but in an episode of her reality show in November last year, she revealed that she broke up with him after finding an Instagram of a girl donning lingerie in his house. The following is the report, according to Hollywood Life.
“Christina revealed on the Nov. 10 episode of Turned Up that she and Lil Wayne broke up after she found an Instagram of a girl wearing lingerie … in Wayne’s house. But while that situation left Christina extremely hurt, she gave Wayne one more chance because of how much she loved him. She even admitted she’s never loved anyone the way she loves Wayne — no wonder she is so torn up over their second breakup!”
That said, Lil Wayne has generally avoided speaking about the relationship in public. However, he is currently facing a different category of problems — lawsuits. Ever since he stopped working with Cash Money records, he has had a flurry of lawsuits to contend with and in one case, valuables in one of his properties were confiscated to pay off debt. Just a few days ago, one of his lawyers took him to court over unpaid legal fees.
