Jodie Sweetin: ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Competitor’s Children And Fiancee Cheer Her On

Jodie Sweetin and the other Dancing With the Stars competitors are busy polishing their performances in preparation for Season 22. Many believe Jodie has a good chance of going all the way in this year’s competition, and her family is cheering her on. That’s a good thing, because she has a lot on her plate right now and family support makes all the difference. It’s been a crazy good year for Sweetin, and the good times don’t show any sign of stopping anytime soon. In January, a rep for Sweetin confirmed to People that she was engaged to Justin Hodak, saying, “We can confirm that Jodie Sweetin got engaged to Justin Hodak and they are both thrilled.” Both Jodie and Justin have posted several Instagram photos of themselves with and without Jodie’s children in recent months.

Jodie Sweetin has had a busy few months. Her Dancing With the Stars appearance comes on the heels of the February Netflix release of Fuller House in which Jodie reprises her role as Stephanie Tanner. It has been well-received and it seems there will be a Fuller House 2.

Sweetin faces a big challenge trying to juggle everything on her plate. Throwing Dancing With the Stars into the mix only increased that challenge. Jodie has a wedding to plan, publicity to do for Fuller House, publicity to do for Dancing With the Stars, and, lest we forget, many long hours of rehearsals for DWTS.

It certainly helps to have the support of family when trying to juggle so much, and it seems that Sweetin has that. Daily Mail shared a photo of Jodie with her Jimmy Fallon water bottle and $1,300 Gucci tote as she showed off her engagement ring to photographers on Friday. She had just arrived for DWTS rehearsals at the Los Angeles studios. Sweetin previously shared an Instagram photo of the ring.

On the same day, E! Online shared a video of Hodak and Jodie’s daughters surprising her during Dancing With the Stars rehearsals. She was obviously thrilled to see them, scooping up 8-year-old Beatrix and 5-year-old Zoie for hugs. The three stuck around and cheered her on as they watched Sweetin practice with DWTS pro Keo Motsepe. When Jodie Sweetin was asked back in January how she’s juggling everything (and this was pre-DWTS) she told People this about her full schedule and her children.

“It’ll take some getting used to because I’ve been a full-time mom for a while, but I’m looking forward to it and I think they’re going to have a lot of fun.”

Jodie has a lot of dance experience to bring to Dancing With the Stars. As a child, her mother owned a dance studio so she’s been dancing her entire life. She got to show off her moves in Fuller House with DWTS dance pro Val Chmerkovskiy.

Pretty impressive, but Jodie’s preparation for Dancing With the Stars is still hard work as Keo helps her polish her skills. Fuller House co-star Candace Cameron Bure previously competed on the show and had this advice for Sweetin according to E! Online.

“She said this will be one of the hardest things I have ever done that I will absolutely love and it’s a once in a lifetime experience. So I’m really excited to find out myself.”

Jodie’s whirlwind year continues beyond Fuller House and Dancing With the Stars. Sweetin will be filming Fuller House 2, and begin working on a docu-comedy titled Hollywood Darlings. The show is unscripted and will include two other 90s child stars – Christine Lakin (from Step by Step) and Beverley Mitchell (from 7th Heaven). It will air as eight half-hour episodes. The show is described as “three lifelong friends who grew up together in ‘the business,’ became household names and now take on even bigger roles as moms, wives and
