‘The Walking Dead’ Season 6 Finale: Will Maggie Die Saving Glenn From Negan? Rosita’s Pregnancy Death In Comics A Hint?

The Walking Dead season 6 finale is just over two weeks away. However, with the recent events on TWD involving the Saviors, fans are wondering who will die in episode 16.

No major TWD spoilers have confirmed deaths yet, but there is one theory that will have Maggie fans worried for the expectant mother. Is it possible that Lauren Cohan’s character could die trying to save Glenn (Steven Yeun) from Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in the season 6 finale of The Walking Dead?

As previously reported by Inquisitr, in The Walking Dead comic books, Rosita was pregnant when she died. The television show character, portrayed by Christian Serratos, is not having a baby. However, Maggie Greene is pregnant and some viewers worry that Cohan’s final TWD episode could be in the season 6 finale.

According to Walking Dead Wikia, in the TWD comic books, Rosita was in a romantic relationship with Eugene. She ended up pregnant, but the unborn child did not belong to Eugene. The couple ended up reconciling and Eugene told Rosita not to tell him the identity of the baby’s real father. Before Rosita could deliver the child, she was killed by Alpha, the leader of a group called the Whisperers. Could the writers of The Walking Dead be switching some comic book scenes and characters around to shock fans with a pregnancy death?

“I never even imagined that as an actor you could have that experience. It’s one of the most raw experiences that I think any of us have ever had,” Lauren Cohan told Entertainment Weekly about The Walking Dead season 6 finale. “Andy talks about being late to work; I didn’t want to go to work that day. It took a really, really long time for everybody to feel okay again after the finale, let’s put it that way.”

Many fans of The Walking Dead have stated that Negan has a policy of not killing women or children. However, on Reddit, a discussion revealed that Negan may have been responsible for at least one woman’s death. A comic book character named Holly was mentioned, although her actual death remained a mystery. There was also someone named Crystal that was in issue 95 or 96 of The Walking Dead comic books. Having never read the comics, I am unsure of the validity of these statements, but it does open up the door to some interesting Negan theories.

Even if Negan does not kill women and children, that is in the comic books. His policies could change when Jeffrey Dean Morgan debuts as Negan on The Walking Dead TV show. There is also the possibility that if Maggie dies on The Walking Dead season 6 finale, Negan might not be the killer.

In a recent episode of TWD, Jesus (Tom Payne) told Rick’s group how the Saviors gained control over the Hilltop Colony. Jesus said that the Saviors beat a 16-year-old boy to death. A teenager is still a child, but in the “new world” perhaps he was considered an adult, and maybe it doesn’t count as a “child kill.” Also, remember that in The Walking Dead midseason premiere, the Saviors had guns pointed at both Abraham and Sasha’s heads. Even if Negan has a special rule about women and children, the Saviors just might kill women and children if they want. Paula and her associates nearly murdered both Carol (Melissa McBride) and Maggie on episode 13, so it seems the Saviors follow their own rules.

As for the possibility of Maggie dying on The Walking Dead season 6 finale, I don’t think Negan will use Lauren Cohan’s character to make his point. If Maggie does die on TWD, it will either be by the Saviors, an enemy nobody knows about yet, or perhaps it will be an accident.

When Glenn was still missing earlier this season in The Walking Dead, Maggie was up in the watchtower when walkers invaded Alexandria. Glenn arrived and was surrounded by reanimated corpses. Maggie was desperate to save Glenn and made noise trying to get their attention. Despite being pregnant in The Walking Dead, Maggie will do anything to save Glenn. This scenario could happen in The Walking Dead season 6 finale.

Perhaps Negan will try to use Glenn as an example, but Maggie will intervene, resulting in her own death. The other possibility is that Maggie could die in some other way and it might not have anything to do with Negan.

What do you think of the theories Maggie Greene could die on The Walking Dead season 6 finale? If Lauren Cohan leaves TWD, could her character die saving Glenn Rhee? Or do you have another death speculation for season 6, episode 16?
