Lana Del Rey ‘Tapped’ For 2016 Lollapalooza, On Spin Wishlist For DJ Joe Jonas

After a successful album release with Honeymoon, Lana Del Rey fans have been anticipating an announcement about a 2016 tour in America, but that news has not yet arrived.

As other countries proudly announced that Lana Del Rey would be playing in their country in 2016, as previously reported by the Inquisitr, the closest American fans have gotten so far to having her play near them is the Osheaga Festival in Montreal, Canada.

However, even though she has not been officially named as a headliner, things appear to be in the works for Lana Del Rey to be one of the performers for the 25-year anniversary of Lollapalooza.

Other music celebrities that have confirmed their participation in the 2016 Lollapalooza lineup already have their names in news stories, but Lana Del Rey's information about the potential Lollapalooza concerts can be found at websites such as Consequence of Sound.

They clearly state that Lana Del Rey has been "tapped" for playing Lollapalooza, but that does not mean she has officially confirmed this potential reality.

Otherwise, Lana Del Rey has been laying low, and it appears that she has disappeared completely except for the occasional fan pic update on Twitter.

LDR fans in other cities may be jealous to know that Lana Del Rey fans that live in Los Angeles have been particularly lucky to capture fan photos of her throughout 2016.

For example, Lana Del Rey was allegedly at a concert in the recent past and a fan posted a video of her in the VIP section at that show on Twitter around March 17.

Adding to this, Lana Del Rey fans post about any changes in her social media activity. For instance, around March 18, one fan noted that Lana Del Rey updated the icon on the Honeymoon social media accounts.

If anyone has seemingly disappeared, it is Lana Del Rey's alleged boyfriend, Francesco Carrozzini. Although he has a film project that is currently debuting about Janis Joplin, outside of this movie's premiere Francesco is practically invisible online during the month of March.

Could this be a sign that he is spending all of his time with Lana Del Rey and ignoring the rest of the world? After all, rumors started to fly around the end of 2015 that Lana Del Rey and Francesco Carrozzini were no longer together as a couple.

On the other hand, Francesco could have been spending time with his family in Italy around the winter holidays and working on several European Fashion Week projects as a professional fashion photographer.

Alternatively, Francesco Carrozzini could be spending time away from Lana Del Rey and getting involved with various angles of his career related to Los Angeles Fashion Week that took place March 16 to 20, according to Style Week.

Outside of her relationship with Francesco Carrozzini and hanging out at concerts, Lana Del Rey has been requested to get involved in a celebrity music project.

Review-Journal said that Joe Jonas has been deejaying in Las Vegas for a few years, but he will soon be absent because he is going on tour with Selena Gomez for a few months with DNCE starting May 6. Before Joe Jonas leaves for tour, writer Doug Elfman requested the following.

"To complement 'Cake by the Ocean,' maybe [Joe Jonas] could also sing a cover of Lana Del Rey's hit 'High by the Beach.'"
Although she is being requested for nightclub music to be played by DJ Joe Jonas, defining Lana Del Rey's genre continues to be difficult. According to the Guardian, when Pitchfork relaunched their website recently, they made it to where the website could be viewed by genre.

The overall question for Guardian writer Peter Robinson appeared to be "how does a website that defines by genre address a multi-genre artist like Lana Del Rey?" About LDR's genre, Peter Robinson stated the following.

"If you look at and key in, say, Lana Del Rey, you'll find her listed under 'pop, indie R&B, indietronica, chamber pop, synthpop'; she's all of those, a bit, but at the same time not completely any of those..."
