Mel Gibson’s Ex Insists On $100,000 Monthly In Child Support, Says She Has $10 To Her Name

Mel Gibson’s ex-wife, Oksana Grigorieva, is requesting a sizable increase in monthly child support. Currently the Braveheart actor and director pays $20,000 in child support for the daughter that the two share, Lucia, whom they welcomed in 2009. The two had a very public and nasty split in 2010 when Oksana accused Gibson of domestic abuse.

Audio tapes surfaced of Gibson uttering offensive statements and remarks that damaged his Hollywood reputation to a further degree. Radar Online reported as to the graphic exchange between the former couple.

Oksana: “You’re gonna answer one day, boy, you’re gonna answer.”

To which Mel asks if the Russian pianist is threatening him. She responds and says she is not.

“I’m not the one to threaten.”

Gibson then turns the tables and threatens his ex, using graphic language.

“Threaten ya? I’ll put you in a f *ckin rose garden you c*nt! You understand that? Because I’m capable of it. You understand that?”

In 2011, Gibson pleaded no contest to a battery charge and agreed to a custody deal with Grigorieva calling for the former couple to share custody, and for Mel to make a full payment of $750,000 total over three installments. The final payment was to be made in January, 2016.

Gossip Cop relays the details of the monthly payment amount that the lump sum works out to, and also shares as to Oksana’s latest demands.

“That would have worked out to about $18,000 a month, but it seems the figure was later bumped up to $20,000. But now Grigorieva is reportedly seeking a substantial increase. She wants a family court to set the new monthly amount at more than $100,000.”

Grigorieva claims that she needs at least $10,000 a month for her daughter’s security and shares that this aside, she wants to provide her daughter with a high-quality of life. The publication shares what it will mean if an out-of-court agreement is not met.

“If she and Gibson don’t reach an out-of-court settlement, the case would go to trial. The two last squared off before a judge in June 2015, when the movie star successfully fought for the right to take Lucia to Australia for a month.”

The Mad Max star wanted permission to spend the month with Lucia in his homeland during pre-production of his new film Hacksaw Ridge, which was to begin filming in November. Despite her own demand for more money, Oksana, 45, was not having it and objected to Lucia spending time with her father overseas for such a length of time. Mel gained permission and was able to take his daughter along.

The Daily Mail shares as to Oksana’s dire financial situation, despite being given $20,000 monthly from Mel.

“Oksana filed for bankruptcy less than four years after knocking back a reported $15m child custody settlement offer from the mega-rich actor, who is worth an estimated $425m. The hard-up Russian pianist made the move due to prohibitive legal debts said to be in the range of $250,000. Previous legal documents filed showed she is claiming she is so broke she has just $10 in cash to her name, and has $48,000 in assets. However, she also receives £2,500 each month from Timothy Dalton for their son, Alexander. “

Mel Gibson also has an additional seven children aside from Lucia, whom he fathered with his former wife, Robyn. Reps for Mel Gibson have yet to comment on the new requests from his ex-wife. There is no question that the very volatile split from Oksana certainly hurt the notable actor’s Hollywood reputation. The talented leading man is still making movies and attempting to make a comeback from these events that had fans shaking their heads.
