Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth: Was Their Reunion Just ‘Temporary’?

Rumors are swirling that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are on the verge of another break-up. The singer hasn’t been photographed with her engagement ring for some time, prompting the split rumors to come in at warp speed.

Now it’s assumed that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are fighting to save their already troubled relationship. Sources claimed that the couple’s differences over the prenuptial agreement, the wedding theme, and everything else in between has caused them end their relationship for a second time.

Miley and Liam first dated back in June 2009 after they starred in the Nicholas Sparks film The Last Song. Three years later, the couple announced their engagement, but they ended their relationship in late 2013. Miley was last spotted with her engagement ring when she arrived in New York City to film in an upcoming Amazon series directed by Woody Allen. However, she appears to have removed the ring amid the rumors that they split because she smokes too much marijuana.

An alleged insider revealed to In Touch Weekly that the 26-year-old actor has told his wild 23-year-old girlfriend to either choose him or pot.

“They recently had a huge fight. Liam told Miley he wants her to quit pot. He can’t believe how often she gets high. Every day Liam comes home and the entire house reeks of weed. He’s so annoyed. Miley still smokes a ton of pot and it drives Liam crazy.”

The singer’s love with marijuana goes back to her Bangerz World Tour, where her tour costumes were emblazoned with marijuana leaf motifs. And Cyrus often posts several selfies with a joint or bong in her hand.

While hosting the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, the pop star cracked several jokes about marijuana. Miley also closed out the show with a performance of her new song that’s about weed. She also reportedly lit up a joint and passed it around the press room after the awards show.

It also was rumored that the “Wrecking Ball” singer wanted an open marijuana bar and “for everyone to get high together,” while they watch the couple marry.

But now the Hollywood Life claims that Cyrus and Hemsworth are doing everything in their power to make their relationship work the second time around.

“It is not a perfect relationship but it is still a relationship. At the end of the day they are in love with each other but still have a lot of work to do to make things great. They get into fights but one thing they are making sure to do is keep their relationship separate from their careers. They didn’t do that last time and that is what made their relationship fizzle. But they are being really careful to make it work this time. It is a process they definitely want to succeed.”

While it was assumed that the couple was making big moves in Malibu, Miley contributed to the split rumors when she posted a series of cryptic Instagram posts. In one of the photos, Miley solemnly holds a sign which reads, “Live through consciousness, not through emotion,” while another photo shows that her left hand is not wearing the engagement ring that she’s worn since January. Adding to her melancholy mood, she shares a photo of her cat along with the caption, “When life is simple for animals it is beautiful.”

[UPDATE] Then on late Saturday, March 19, Miley Cyrus posted another solemn teacup photo that reads: “Truth is everlasting” without a caption.

Just three weeks ago, the blonde pop songstress posted the cryptic message “all of this temporary,” in lieu of the non-stop wedding rumors. She also told her fans to stop worrying. About what, she did not specify. Does that mean her reunion to The Hunger Games star is only “temporary”? Or, was she talking about their living arrangements?

On Monday, March 14, Cyrus was spotted without her ring as she was photographed outside a NYC hotel. According to the Daily Mail, the singer looked just as down as she did in her latest selfie. On her Instagram, she shared a photo of her same outfit with the caption, “Made for early morninz.”

The entertainer has also been sharing plenty of throwback photos, including some of her Milky Milk Tour with The Flaming Lips. When Miley shared clips of her early morning yoga routine, she was seen without the ring but she could have removed it to exercise comfortably. And maybe the reason why she hasn’t been seen with it lately is so that she won’t lose it while traveling.
