‘Teen Wolf’ Season 6 Spoilers: Stiles And Lydia Finally Together In Premiere, Stalia Fans Upset?

Teen Wolf Season 6 will reportedly feature a lot more of Stiles and Lydia’s love story. Executive producer Jeff Davis revealed that everyone’s favorite love team, Stydia, will be the focus in the highly anticipated premiere.

In an interview with MTV, the Teen Wolf producer hinted that Stydia fans will be happy come Season 6. He shared that there is a “great Lydia-Stiles” story coming up, which fans should not dare miss.

In a separate interview with TV Line, Jeff Davis said that Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) and Lydia’s (Holland Roden) relationship will be the main focus of Teen Wolf Season 6. Unlike in past seasons where their emotions have always been unclear, the showrunner revealed that this time around, the duo will finally address what they felt towards each another. Could this mean that that Stiles and Lydia will finally get past the “just friends” stage?

“Something big happens in the very first episode of Season 6 between Stiles and Lydia, which you’ll have to tune in to see.”

While many Teen Wolf fans rooting for Stydia to finally happen took this as a good sign, some Stalia fans were clearly disappointed with this spoiler. According to The Siver Times, Stiles and Lydia will be better off as friends. In the event that their relationship would not work out, it was pointed out that they could not return to just being friends.

“Certainly Stiles and Lydia could develop more than friendly feelings for each other, but their friendship could seriously suffer. In short, we are not sure to be ready to sacrifice the friendship of Stydia for a semblance of love story.”

Some Teen Wolf fans quickly added that what they really want to see come Season 6 is more of Stiles and Malia’s (Shelley Hennig) relationship. They pointed out that Lydia took a long time to realize that she had something very special with Stiles. They held that it would be very strange to see them together after all that has happened.

“At this point having Stydia would be kind of weird. We don’t need another Ron & Hermione or Stefan & Caroline. I can’t see a scene of Stiles and Lydia making love. There is no way to make such scene feel real and monumental,” a fan commented.

Some Teen Wolf fans also commented that the writers took a while to build up the tension between Stiles and Lydia that the moment may have passed them by.

It seems, however, that Teen Wolf executive producer Jeff Davis thinks otherwise. Speaking to Hollywood Life, he admitted that he has always been a fan of Stydia. Could this be a hint that the two will eventually get together come Season 6?

Unfortunately, the showrunner refused to give more details aside from reminding viewers to tune into the Season 6 premiere for the big reveal between Stiles and Lydia.

“I will say that I myself have always been a fan of Stydia. But you’ll have to see,” he said.

Meanwhile, Davis also hinted that Theo (Cody Christian) may not be dead after all. He shared that they made the conscious decision to not kill him so that they could bring him back in Teen Wolf Season 6.

When it comes to Kira’s (Arden Cho) fate, the executive producer remained tightlipped. He explained that fans will just have to wait to see what happens next to Cho’s character.

“It was partially because we wanted her to go down a difficult path. We wanted to see her with her mother in the desert, to make sure we gave her a full episode to explore her character,” he explained.
