Saggy Pants Get Man Kicked Off Spirit Airlines Flight After Spat

Saggy pants are at the center of another controversy, as a man was booted from a flight in Chicago for not pulling up his damn jeans.

The saggy pants controversy is one that has reared its head on more than one occasion in recent years, and this is not even the first time that someone has been kicked off a flight for saggy pants.

In the not too distant past, people have been jailed for saggy pants, taken to court for saggy pants, and the controversial style of pant-wearing has been officially banned in some jurisdictions. For some reason, the saggy pants thing really sets people on edge.

It wasn’t actually saggy pants that got the unnamed man kicked off the flight at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, however — his reaction to a reprimand from crew for pants they described as “excessively saggy” prompted the dispute that led to the man with saggy pants and his traveling companion being booted from the plane.

According to Spirit Airlines spokeswoman Misty Pinson, the man’s pants were saggy enough to be visually offensive — she explains:

“It was to the point where his entire bottom was hanging out. And that’s not appropriate. We have a lot of customers on the plane, a lot of children on the plane.”

Pinson continues:

“Our flight attendant asked him if he would kindly pull (his pants) up so that they were at a more appropriate level… He became aggressive with the flight crew,” Pinson said. “He threatened to smack the flight attendants.”

Although the man with saggy pants and his traveling companion were kicked off the flight, they were booked on the next flight out. The saggy pants fight only held up the original Spirit flight by 5 minutes.
