‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 7, Episode 17 Synopsis: Stefan Salvatore Fights For His Life
The Vampire Diaries is currently on a break, but that doesn’t mean TVD fans are clueless about what is going to happen next. As previously reported by Inquisitr, the press release and extended promo clip for the next episode of the vampire series was released. There is new information not on the upcoming episode, but the one after. The synopsis for The Vampire Diaries Season 7, Episode 17 has been revealed. Based on the description, Paul Wesley’s character, Stefan Salvatore, will be in a battle for his life.
The April 8 episode of The Vampire Diaries is titled “I Went to the Woods.” The synopsis for TVD Season 7, Episode 17 states that Stefan wakes up in a wooded area and is in a fight for his life. The synopsis for “I Went to the Woods” hints that Stefan just has his “basic instincts.” During his battle for survival, Stefan Salvatore of The Vampire Diaries only has a certain amount of time before it is too late. The synopsis also reveals that while trying to survive, Stefan will have to face the damage Damon Salvatore has done to their relationship.
What else can TVD fans expect in The Vampire Diaries? According to The Futon Critic, Damon Salvatore will be on a mission to save his brother. Finding an unusual clue, Damon Salvatore will work to fix things, but will he be successful?

Damon won’t be the only one trying to rescue Stefan on The Vampire Diaries. In Season 7, Episode 17, expect Matt (Zach Roerig) to send Valerie (Elizabeth Blackmore) on a road trip. Valerie must head to Dallas and ask Alaric (Matt Davis) to help find Stefan before it is too late. As for Leslie-Anne Huff’s character in The Vampire Diaries, she will discover a new threat. This causes Rayna to search for Stefan before the others reach him.
Since Season 7, Episode 16 of The Vampire Diaries has not aired yet, the synopsis for “I Went to the Woods” raises a lot of questions. In the promo clip for the next episode, “Days of Future Past,” Rayna tracks down Stefan. Down on his knees and appearing to be exhausted in every sense of the word, Rayna forces Stefan to make a decision. The Salvatore brother appears weak and finally says he is ready to leave Damon behind.
Spoiler TV posted the extended promo clip for the next episode of The Vampire Diaries. In the comments section, TVD fans had some interesting theories on Damon and Stefan Salvatore. One viewer speculated that in the upcoming episode of The Vampire Diaries, Stefan is actually in the Phoenix Stone. If this theory is accurate, then Stefan having to confront Damon destroying their relationship over the centuries makes sense. It would be the ultimate personal hell for the younger Salvatore brother.
Does this mean that the promo clip for TVD Episode 16 tricked viewers into believing Rayna caught up with Stefan? Remember, the synopsis for The Vampire Diaries Season 7, Episode 17 states that Rayna tries to find Stefan before the others do. This seems to imply that Rayna actually does not track Stefan down, as viewers have been led to believe.
