Lauren Bushnell And Ben Higgins Wedding: Happy ‘Bachelor’ Couple Plans To Walk The Aisle, But Most Likely Not On Television

Lauren Bushnell and Ben Higgins appear to be quite the happy Bachelor couple and said they are definitely planning a wedding, but fans hoping to see the two get married on live television may not be in luck.

Millions of viewers watched this week as Ben proposed to Lauren on the season finale of The Bachelor. And despite some rumors that Ben and Lauren were in trouble due to his lingering feelings for runner up JoJo Fletcher, it appears that the two are quite happy and already planning their life together.

Lauren Bushnell said this week that she will be moving from her home in California to Denver to live with Ben. The two had spent the last few months apart, as The Bachelor forbids them from being seen in public before the finale aired, but now are going public and even went on their first public date this week.

Now that they are able to take their relationship public, Ben and Lauren are already moving to the next level.

“I’m just excited to go grocery shopping together,” Lauren Bushnell told People magazine of moving in with Ben.

And they’re not planning on taking things slow, either. Lauren said she is ready to start planning her wedding to Ben Higgins.

“Neither of us want a long engagement,” she told People. “I’ve never been the girl to dream about her wedding, but now I’m starting to think about it.”

But at the same time, Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell don’t want to play out their entire relationship in the public eye. After falling in love on national television, the couple said they’re ready to take a step back from the spotlight for a while.

“The spotlight is not a desire of mine, right?” Higgins told the Associated Press, via Us Weekly. “If it happens, it happens and that’s great and grand and whatever you want to call it. Opportunities? Yeah. I have a great job right now and Lauren has a great job. It’s been fun for us.”

Ben went on to say that both he and Lauren have dreams and hobbies that they would love to do “for a living,” but aren’t looking to force themselves into the spotlight to do it.

“If this ends right now and we go back to normal, both of us are beyond happy,” he said.

That may kill the hopes fans had for a televised wedding for Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell. There have been rumors for the past few cycles that the Bachelor and Bachelorette couples could be headed for a televised wedding, and as rumors leaked that Ben and Lauren appeared to be a strong and possibly lasting couple, there seemed to be growing hope that they could be the next to do so.

It has now been two years since Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici walked the aisle, a wedding that Lowe said was a perfect fit for them.

“It just made sense for us,” Sean told The Hollywood Reporter. “Our relationship started on TV and has followed us along the way. Not only that, but the people who put on the show have become very close to us. It’s like a big family. And on top of that, we knew we’d have an incredible wedding we didn’t have to pay for. But most importantly, Bachelor Nation is so passionate about the show and they truly feel invested in our relationship. It’s a great opportunity to have them there with us.”

But from the sounds of it, Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell aren’t as thrilled with the idea of a televised wedding, and Bachelor Nation may have to be content with reading about it afterward.
