‘WWE NXT’ Results and Updated ‘NXT TakeOver: Dallas’ Card
As the WWE main roster prepares for WrestleMania 32, the NXT roster prepares for its own big event, NXT TakeOver: Dallas. With less than three weeks until the events in Dallas on the first weekend of April, the most recent episode of WWE NXT set in place some very exciting matches for NXT’s biggest show of the year. All of NXT’s titles will be on the line, and two of their biggest signings will have their official in-ring debut as members of the NXT Universe.

Wednesday’s episode of WWE NXT featured in-ring performances from Bayley, Asuka, American Alpha, Hype Bros, Tommaso Ciampa, and many others. And if the competition wasn’t enough to get the official approval of the Internet Wrestling Community, then perhaps the interview with Austin Aries and the on-camera debut of NJPW’s Shinsuke Nakamura made up for it.

WWE NXT Results — March 17, 2016
The following matches and segments were taped at Full Sail University near Orlando, Florida on January 27. The episode aired on the WWE Network on March 17.
- Sami Zayn came to the ring after a video package of his match with Samoa Joe kicked off the show. William Regal then announced that Sami Zayn’s opponent for TakeOver: Dallas would be the recently-signed Shinsuke Nakamura.
- The Hype Bros (Zack Ryder & Mojo Rawley) defeated the team of Angelo Dawkins and Kenneth Crawford in tag-team action.
- Highlights were shown of NXT’s presence at the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio.
- Dana Brooke and Emma ran into Deonna Purrazzo backstage and they all exchanged words about their scheduled match.
- Emma defeated Deonna Purrazzo when she tapped out to the Emma Lock.

- Highlights of the NXT Tag Team Championship Match from WWE Roadblock were shown, setting up the night’s main event match to determine the new No. 1 contenders.
- Tommaso Ciampa defeated Jesse Sorensen in relatively short fashion.
- NXT Women’s Champion Bayley and Asuka defeated Eva Marie and Nia Jax.
- After the women’s tag team match, William Regal announced that Bayley would defend the NXT Women’s Championship against Asuka at NXT TakeOver: Dallas.
- Austin Aries was interviewed about Baron Corbin‘s attack during his debut and their match-up booked for TakeOver.
- American Alpha defeated The Vaudevillains to become the No. 1 contenders for the NXT Tag Team Championship.
