Anna Duggar Divorce: With Her Husband Home From Rehab, Anna’s Friends Still Want Her To Dump Josh

Anna Duggar could still be leaning toward divorce after her husband Josh returned home from a months-long stay in sex rehab, with sources saying that the couple is still a long way from repairing their fractured relationship and friends are pushing for Anna to leave Josh.

Last week, Josh returned home to his family in Arkansas after spending six months in a faith-based rehab center. He came back committed to improving the family, and he and Anna are reportedly seeing a couples therapist.

“Josh and Anna are working on their relationship and are having the help of a couples therapist,” a source told Hollywood Life. “The therapist has been coming to their home in Arkansas to work with them on the many issues they have been dealing with since Josh has returned from rehab.”

Josh Duggar escaped to the Illinois-based rehab facility late last year after his family was rocked by a pair of scandals. First there was the revelation that Josh had molested a number of young girls during his teenage years, including his own sisters. Anna Duggar said that she had known about the indiscretions and had forgiven Josh, but the scandal still managed to sink the family and their wildly popular 19 Kids and Counting empire.

Then, just weeks later, Josh was identified as a user of the website Ashley Madison, a dating service promoting infidelity among married users. Josh admitted to being unfaithful to Anna Duggar as well as an addiction to porn, and left Anna and his children behind to attend rehab.

There have been ongoing rumors that Anna Duggar was considering divorce, she has remained by Josh publicly and spoken about forgiveness in interviews. In one clip shown on last week’s episode of Jill and Jessa: Counting On, Anna relayed to the Duggar family a hopeful message Josh sent to them from rehab.

“He loves each one of you guys very much and is just really grateful for a family that’s willing to talk straight and to grieve when you’ve fallen, but also to love and forgive and have hope,” Anna told the Duggar family at the holidays. “So I look forward to seeing what God has [in store for] the future.”

But despite her public support, sources close to Anna say she is still struggling.

Hollywood Life reported the following.

“Understandably, Anna is having a tough time moving forward with Josh at this point. ‘Anna is still troubled by Josh’s actions,’ the source says. ‘She needs lots of professional help to go along with all the praying she has been doing in order to keep her family together.’

“‘Anna is afraid of what Josh could do next,’ continues the source. ‘Josh being back home doesn’t mean Anna is going to stay with him. The therapist is helping them figure out, can their marriage be saved?’ Despite all the religious guidance and professional help, what lies ahead for the family is still shaky. ‘They are doing lots of prayer together and are trying to make it work for the kids but their future still is uncertain,’ says the source.”

There may be other forces working against the couple. In a previous report, Hollywood Life cited a source close to the couple saying friends of Anna Duggar are pushing her toward divorce. And in the past, members of Anna’s own family have spoken out against Josh.

It may be difficult to tell how much truth there is to rumors that the couple could split, however, as Anna Duggar has not publicly addressed the idea of divorcing Josh.
