‘Blade & Soul’ Level Cap Increasing When The ‘Silverfrost Mountains’ Update Launches

Before the spring season wraps up, Blade & Soul players can expect another major patch to the martial arts MMO. Players will soon be able to travel to the Silverfrost Mountains where eight new dungeons, a new capital city, and much more await players. The new area also releases alongside an increased level cap, an upgraded weapon and accessory path, and clan crafting improvements.

When the path to the Silverfrost Mountains opens, Blade & Soul players will be able to level to 50, increase their Hongmoon Level to 10, and continue the game’s story of betrayal and vengeance according to the official site. Players will be able to travel to the Primeval Forests or visit the Shiverstone Range, areas that are visually very different from each other. One is a locale draped in vegetation while the other is shaped by rugged snowy terrain.

Within the new “Silverfrost Mountains” expansion, players will find a new capital city called Zaiwei. Players can use the city to find their friends, craft, and enjoy other city amenities before heading out to their next adventure. The city of Zaiwei features golden-roofed buildings surrounded by the hoary mountains of the area. While players will spend a bit of time here, the expansion adds much more than just a new capital city.

The highlight of the upcoming patch for many players is the group content. Eight new dungeons and two new 24-player open world instances are part of the update as well. Frostscale Basin and Beastbog will challenge those large groups with a number of adversaries and major bosses. Not to mention, a new server event will task players with protecting Grand Harvest Square from waves of enemies. On the PvP side of things, the Soulstone Plains will open, pitting the Crimson legion and the Cerulean Order against each other while protecting their own Soulstone mining operations. Level 50 players will be able to enter this area to take part in the battle while earning Soulstones and Moonstones.

Full patch notes for the “Silverfrost Mountains” update, previews, and more are yet to come. A brief overview of the upcoming dungeons is available now which touches on the five Expert dungeons and the three Heroic ones. Cosmetic rewards, new upgrades for items, and Soul Shields are potential rewards. The new Heroic dungeons include the Awakened Necropolis, the Lair of the Frozen Fang, and the Avalanche Den. Players will face demons, monsters, and yeti in these dungeons once the patch goes live.

In the Awakened Necropolis, demons are trapped within a city waiting to be purged. Players will face the Unholy Jiangshi Demon and the Scorpion Queen to ensure victory. While in the Lair of the Frozen Fang, a party will encounter the Jomu, a race that kidnaps and sacrifices humans. Six bosses will need to be downed in this dungeon before players are victorious. Finally, in the Avalanche Den, players will need to defeat transforming yetis that have been tricking townspeople into being captured.

The “Silverfrost Mountains” patch announcement comes just a couple of weeks after Blade & Soul grew with the “Unchained” update. That update added another class to the martial arts MMO in addition to introducing the Naryu Labyrinth, the final floor of the solo challenge Mushin’s Tower, and much more. As the Inquisitr reported, the release of the Warlock also launched with a leveling event in the game. Players still have time to level a character to 45 before March 23 to earn a bag full of helpful items including things like Warrior’s Tokens, Hongmoon Unsealing Charms, and much more. Hitting 45 before the event ends will also unlock a costume for the character that hits the level cap.
