Did Taylor Swift Diss Matt Healy? Says Dating Her Would Be ‘Emasculating’

The 1975’s Matt Healy is still feeling the burn from the time he tried dating Taylor Swift. The indie singer did not hold back when he divulged his actual thoughts on what it would be like to date the most famous singer in the world.

Taylor Swift has found herself in the middle of a feud with The 1975 frontman after he slammed both the singer and her boyfriend in a new interview. Swift first sparked the romance rumors with Healy back in November 2014 when he wore a Swift concert T-shirt onstage at one of his shows. Swift was then spotted wearing his band’s concert T-shirt, and went to one of his shows with some of her squad.

Then the British singer playfully said on a radio show, “We exchanged numbers. Let’s see what happens.”

Then back in January 2015, Matt addressed the Taylor Swift dating rumors on Shazam Top 20 with Angus and Ash. He revealed that the rumors were all “bloody fake.” At the time, it sounds like Matt was kind of interested in dating Taylor, but maybe she doesn’t feel the same way.

“It didn’t really happen. As much as it would be amazing for me if it did, unfortunately it didn’t,” he added.

Healy told Q Magazine that they met and interacted on social media, which fans had noticed and caused those romance rumors to swirl. Now he’s feeling salty that Swift didn’t take him up on his offer to court her.

“Yeah, we met each other, we exchanged numbers in the same way that a lot of people in this kind of world do and we spoke occasionally.”

But it looks like the “Out of the Woods” singer isn’t that into the musician since they never actually dated. Despite their social media flirtation, Healy ruined his chances of getting with Swift, if her relationship with Calvin Harris didn’t work out.

“So the one time I did have a flirtation with a girl and it ends up going everywhere…I mean, I got on E! News and people were like, ‘Who’s Matt Healy?’ so that was cool.

“But I didn’t make a big deal out of it myself. It’s not really anything to talk about, because if she wasn’t Taylor Swift we wouldn’t be talking about her. She wasn’t a big impact on my life. It’s just interesting to me how interested the world is about Taylor Swift.”

Healy doesn’t get the constant interest with Swift. Then he was asked if he has fears of losing his identity when it comes to dating someone. He then decided to take a swing at Swift.

“The reason I mention that is because if I had [properly] gone out with Taylor Swift, I would’ve been, ‘F***ing hell, I am not being Taylor Swift’s boyfriend.’ You know, ‘F**k. That.’ That’s also a man thing, a de-masculating, emasculating thing.”

Calvin Harris doesn’t seem to mind. The DJ has been spotted vacationing with his main squeeze on a gorgeous exotic island. Earlier this week, Taylor and Calvin shared several photos of their skin-clad beach vacation on their Instagram accounts. Also, Calvin couldn’t help but share a photo of his girl in a sexy crochet bikini.

Now that Swift is back home from her vacation, she’s posted two adorable videos of herself interacting with a Great Dane. The first clip shows the dog trying to climb onto Swift’s lap, but it was obviously uncomfortable for her.

“Thank you Thanks for The Hug,” Taylor captioned the video.

Then she showed another video of herself eating whipped cream out of a can (she’s just like us) as the dog tries to lick her lips.

“My mom’s dog is named Kitty. And yet, she is nothing like a cat,” Taylor wrote in the caption.

An inside source revealed to E! News why Swift and Harris decided to take a surprise getaway after celebrating their one-year anniversary earlier this month.

“Taylor and Adam are on vacation because they both had time off from their insanely busy schedules this past year and wanted to go somewhere away from it all to chill out. This was also part of their anniversary presents to each other.”

Meanwhile, Harris is back in the studio working on his upcoming album.
