‘Real World: Go Big Or Go Home’ Meet The Cast — Plus Things Get Really Awkward Really Fast In Season 31 Premiere

One of MTV’s longest lasting reality shows, Real World: Go Big or Go Home, is gearing up for its 31st season. This year, the series will bring seven complete strangers together to live in the entertaining downtown district of Las Vegas. Here’s a look at all of the cast members this season and how things get a little awkward during the premiere.

According to MTV, Real World: Go Big or Go Home will feature a number of exciting missions for the contestants to complete. Some of the missions are group activities while some are individual tasks, and all of them will be challenging. However, there is a major twist to the format. If a contestant is unable to finish a mission, then they will be booted from the show and replaced by someone else.

Fortunately, Broadway World is reporting that the contestants each bring their own unique set of skills and personalities that should bode well for the challenges. The first contestant on this list is Ceejai, who hails from Illinois and who has lived through a number of tragedies. Several of Ceejai’s friends have died from gun violence, which she uses as motivation for her community involvement in promoting violence awareness.

As far as interesting journeys go, Chris definitely has an unusual back story. Christ was raised as a Mormon in Salt Lake City, but has since denounced his religion and lives as a liberal hipster in New York City. Chris is ready for another leg of his journey, and is looking to start a new chapter.

Dione, meanwhile, also goes by name “Jungle Boy.” Dione is an adrenaline seeker who has no plans of growing up anytime soon. Instead, Dione has his eyes set on his fellow female contestants, which should offer plenty of interesting moments this season.

For her part, Sabrina can be described as anything but soft. Sabrina was born and raised in Boston and doesn’t hesitate to speak whatever is on her mind. She is currently pursuing a career in music and hopes to meet up with her real mother — she was adopted — in Las Vegas for the first time.

Hailing from the south, Jenna is not afraid to show her boyish side, which includes bikini clad shooting exercises. Jenna is also very firm in her traditional Mormon beliefs and won’t back down to anyone. Her goal this season is to put herself in new situations and interact with cultures and beliefs outside of her South Carolina upbringing.

Dean is sure to charm audiences with his playful humor and good looks. He was born in Ghana but raised in Las Vegas. While Dean is currently in the midst of a divorce and actively seeking a new romance, he’s already managed to put his foot in his mouth, and the series hasn’t even started. According to MTV, Dean mistakenly thought that Kailah and Dione were both girls when he first saw them due to the latter’s long hair.

Lastly, Kailah has one one the loudest personalities on the show, which she attributes to her Puerto Rican background. Kailah is a former cheerleader who loves to gossip. However, she does struggle with her temper and bullying nature, which might make things difficult on the show.

Meanwhile, MTV has officially released another trailer for the series, which illustrates the intensity of some of the challenges. While the contestants will face their biggest fears in the coming months, Review Journal is reporting that the premiere got a little awkward when the conversation turned a little racist.

In speaking to her fellow housemates, Jenna remarked how she isn’t “used to black people who act like y’all.” Naturally, things only went downhill from here. “Every colored person I wish was like you,” Jenna added.

Considering the varied personalities and the competitiveness of the challenges, this season of Real World is not one to miss.

The premiere of Real World: Go Big or Go Home airs March 17 on MTV.
